The initial consultation is always free. The owner, Richard Brodey, is affiliated with many Gardens, Native Plant and Succulent Societies. He is also a docent at The Huntington Library and Museum in Pasadena. He also is a pest specialist using only organic, natural products that have no toxicity to humans or animals.

Rick Brodey transformed our backyard from an disorganized eyesore into a neat but vibrant display of plants and hardscape that immediately started attracting butterflies and hummingbirds. My husband and I still get a thrill every time we walk back there and it hasn't even grown in yet. Unlike most, Rick is the kind of contractor who listens carefully and tries to help you to figure out what exactly it is that you want. From his earliest drawings to the finished product, he showed incredible imagination, knowledge, flexibility, promptness, and - most important - a willingness to do what's needed to give you what you want? all the time keeping in mind your budget considerations. If something seemed wrong to us, he fixed it instead of trying to convince us it wasn't wrong like so many contractors do. His follow-up has been superb as he showed up last Saturday to make some adjustments that we still needed. On top of all this, he a great guy and true joy to work with.
