We bought a new house and hired A. Sarian's Pool Service to provide weekly cleaning of our pool. From the beginning their work was poor. I'm half blind and even I could see large areas of dirt on the bottom of the pool that they would miss every week. They sometimes ignored the sauna entirely.
They tried to sell me a new filter to replace the almost new one the prior owners installed. I passed on that, and later learned that the existing filter was just fine. The pump seemed loud, and I asked the guy if it was possible to get a quieter one. He said "they're all like that." I later found a pump that makes almost no noise, uses a fraction of the electricity, came with a $200 rebate and will pay for itself in a year. It's anyone's guess why these guys would try to sell me something I did not need, and not know about something I could use.
The final straw came when their cleaning guy just did not show up for over two weeks. When I called Andy Sarian to complain he became defensive and belligerent. He was not apologetic in the least. He even said that if I needed service I should call. Why do I have do that when he charges a month in advance and his guy has a scheduled day to come? Shouldn't they let me know if they can't make it?
Anyway, we fired each other and I found another pool service that does a good job for the same price.
