They were very helpful and efficient. He did a really good job, I've always been happy with them. They're not trying to gouge you or try doing stuff that does not need to be done.

Did quality work, came when promised and professional. This was a rush job, so I was not able to get other quotes or shop the project. For time invested the price seemed high, but all other aspects of work were very good.

very quickly. The problem was that it was one of those wonderful low-flow toilets that do not process fecal matter efficiently. I had essentially done most of the work, so they finished up and were very nice about explaining what kind of toilet to buy to replace the one I have. The charge was only the base rate of $154.00! They did not charge for anything that they did, or any labor, or the time that they spent at my home. I was delighted and will certainly use them again.
They also take credit cards! And they were on time! Life is good even when the toilet overflows.

I just love them! They are very good. Even go out and purchase all the parts. I have used them for years. They even give a 10% discount for senior citizens!

We have used and trusted Ernie's over the years for plumbing repairs so we called them when we wanted new toilets.
Our plumber was very nice, worked diligently and did a superb job. He showed us the flange in one floor was rusted and needed replacing (obvious to even my untrained eye) but the other one was fine.

Having had mixed experience with various trades people, I was 100% pleased with Ernie's Plumbing and Repair Service. Ernie Jr. showed up on time and was very professional. He did an excellent job in a quick manner ensuring he left everything as clean as he found it.
I and quot;Highlyand quot; recommend using Ernie's Plumbing and will do so again in the future!

I was very pleased with the service from Ernie's Plumbing in Gilroy. I've actually used them twice, Dec. 17 and Jan 18, both times for the same problem--not their fault! In both instances my husband was making dinner and put too many potato peels down the garbage disposer at one time. The drain clogged and we couldn't use the sink.
The first time was a Sunday night and I looked up plumbers in Gilroy on Angie's List (we have recently moved here.) Based on the reviews, I called the 24 hr phone number for Ernie's Plumbing and the phone was answered immediately (by an answering service, I assume.) I asked the guy if Ernie's charged extra for weekend, after hours service. He said he didn't know but could transfer me to a plumber who could answer my question. He did just that--it was about 9 pm on Sunday night--and the first thing I asked the plumber was if it would cost more to come out on a Sunday night. He was very honest and said it would be nearly twice as much, versus waiting until Monday morning to call the regular office staff. I asked him some technical questions about the problem and based on his answers I decided I could wait til morning.
Around 7:30 Monday morning I called Ernie's and the dispatcher said she could have a plumber out to the house by 9:00 am. I was impressed! He arrived on time, cleared the drain pipe, showed me why the problem occurred and told me how to prevent it from happening in the future. I was able to pay with my credit card, which was an added bonus. He even gave me a 10% discount (not sure why) reducing the cost to just over $88. He cleaned everything up before he left and told me the office would mail me the paperwork for the transaction.
I was pleased with the speed of their response, both Sunday night and Monday, the courtesy of everyone I talked to and the plumber's thorough job of clearing the drain and advising how to prevent future clogs. All together, a positive experience.
Fast forward one month and my husband made dinner again, clogging the drain with potato peels again. My husband believes all appliances should function perfectly and we humans shouldn't have to change our behaviors to ensure that an appliance works correctly. Needless to say, he had not followed the plumber's instructions on how to prevent clogs.
Making a long story longer, I called Ernie's plumbing again, the next morning, and they scheduled a plumber to come out that same day. This was a different plumber, but he did the same thing that first plumber had done and again gave the same instructions on how to prevent the problem from happening again. (Was my husband paying attention this time? I'm not so sure!) He cleaned everything up, charged me their regular $98 service call rate and said the office would mail me a receipt.
As he was leaving, I joked that I would probably see him again in a month's time. I said I felt like he was family and asked if it was okay if I just call him Ernie. He said no, Ernie is his father, so I had to call him John! A true family run business in a small town! Who could ask for more?

The experience went great; they were awesome. They came out right away, did not charge me a ton of money, were in and out and got the work done. They cleaned up and gave good customer service.

I called at 7AM asking for the next available appointment. Ernie said someone could come over right away. Fern showed up at 7:30 in a huge truck and was done by a little after 8AM. I just wanted the one valve replaced, but Fern said the copper flex pipes shouldn't be reused. I didn't understand why a outlet valve would be needed if there is an inlet valve, but I took his word for it that it would be useful if I had work done on the hot water pipes. I didn't watch while Fern worked, but the work was perfect in appearance and performance and Fern cleaned up the work area upon completion of the job.
