We are new Costco members. We joined to take advantage of a discount on tires. We are very happy with the results and the free road hazard warranty. We made a appointment to have the service performed and all went very smoothly. So far, so good.

I ordered the tires online and they arrived at the Wilmington, NC Costco three days later. I made an appt to have them installed. They called back and asked if I could move the time by one hour to insure quick service. I agreed and when I showed up for the new time, the four tires were installed and I was out the door in 40 minutes. These guys were the cheapest I could find, fast and dependable.

I was all excited to get a great deal on a set of 4 Michelins with $70 off, but when I spoke to their tire shop manager-of -the-shift he tried to upsell me on a set of four tire pressure sensors for an added $250. I have a 2009 Nissan Sentra and it does come OEM with tire pressure sensors. I have tires changed twice a year from snow tires back to all weather tires. I previously used a local tire dealer and he NEVER mentioned tire sensor replacements ... even the owner maintenance manual does not mention it. But the Costco guy told me that when they deflate the tires prior to dismounting them they pull out the valve stem core and it can break off ... then he said they cant control that if there is corrosion in the valve stem core. When I asked if he could just replace them with regular valves he told me it was illegal. I don't know about the illegal part, but he may as well have told me that I had STUPID written on my forehead and that he would be glad to rip me off for a new set of sensors. I will not buy my tires from their tire center as a result ... I will use Eddie Hair in Oak Ridge and pay a little more to a trusted shop.

My experience at Costco is always good. I drive up, I buy tires, they put them on, I drive off.
That is what I love about Costco. No Hassle!
