SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA MAID SERVICE

They are super responsive. They call me to remind me. I don't have to worry about them stealing from me. I've been working with them for the past 2 years.

I've been with them for years. It's really the quality that I'm having an issue with. Their prices have gone up over the last couple of years, which I don't mind that but the quality has gone down. The quality is inconsistent. You get 2 different maids every time you call, which is alright. I don't mind that they're different but I do mind that the quality between them is drastic. I never know exactly what I'm going to get. Lately I've been doing the deep cleaning where before a 3 hour clean should be enough. They don't scrub the cupboards like they used to, they don't clean the window sills like they used to. So, I have to screen for the $140 deep clean just to make sure that I get everything and that used to be standard with my regular 3 hour clean.

They sent over people to clean the house at 12:00 noon. They called to ask could they come early, and I said of course. They did an exceptional job, They cleaned all the rooms that I asked, and did not clean then things that I did not ask them to celan. When they arrived, they were shocked that there was nothing to vacum, since I have mainly hard-wood floors. They mopped them and cleaned them throughly. They cleaned my kitchen, bedrooms, front and living rooms. Everything smelled wonderfully and they worked diligently. They were very fast. I really appreciated it.

I really like them, I am happy with their services. Their price is very reasonable. I always request for a particular cleaner named Israel he is very good. I do not have any problems with the other cleaners they have, but Israel does things better than the others. Israel is very personable he is a nice guy. He also speaks very good English.

I've been using them for years. They come out on request. They usually give us a time range and they are usually here within that range. I last used them last month, and they will be coming out again next week. They recently increased their price to $65 for two hours. If a crew of two comes then it is equivalent to four hours. They bring their own equipment like vacuum cleaner, rags, garbage bags, cleaning liquids and so forth. I tip them $5 each. They are very convenient. I like the fact that I don't have to provide anything since they bring everything. They are fast, good, and efficient. They are a good cleaning service. I have been happy with 85% of all the people that they have sent, but there were a couple that I was not happy with. I have recommended California Maid Service to friends and family members.

This company serves as a referral service for house cleaners. As a business, they are completely inept, incompetent and unprofessional. While the people that actually do the cleaning work are OK, the Southern California Maid Service staff are TERRIBLE. If you value your time and want to deal with a company that feels the same, go elsewhere.

I've used this company regularly for 7 years, because of their low prices. Today's my last time -- I'm fed up. They raised their prices, and I don't think it's worth it. The cleaning teams are generally pleasant, though few can speak more than a couple of words of English. Many teams are unreliable -- arriving sometimes hours late, or not at all. The office won't usually tell you that your cleaners are late, so you waste a lot of time waiting around for them to show, only to find out that they may not come at all. The office staff is AWFUL!!!! They often change appointment times without asking if that's convenient for me -- I find out when they leave a message on my answering machine "confirming" my appointment at a time different than what I scheduled. They'll occasionally offer a discount to make up for the inconvenience, but they forget tell the cleaners about it, so you're left trying to explain to the team why you're not paying the amount they've been told to expect.

I asked the only english speaking lady what day they would be coming back to clean next week and she set up my appointment for 5-2 at 2:00 PM. I took off of work to facilitate this cleaning and they never showed up. I called the office and the phone clerk told me that I was supposed to call their office and schedule the cleaning. I told her that they never told me this info nor did I get a follow up call on the service to schedule my weekly cleaning. I told her that I had to have better communication with the indiviual who comes into my home...meaning they must speak English. NO WONDER THIS COMPANY HAS A B RATING!

I REALLY LIKE THEM BECAUSE THEY CALL A COUPLE OF DAYS IN ADVANCE TO CONFIRM THE APPOINTMENT. A COUPLE OF DAYS LATER THEY CALL AGAIN TO SEE HOW THE WORK WAS & I REALLY LIKE THAT.

THAT'S WORTH IT, TO GET IT DONE BY SOMEBODY. THEY ARE ALL VERY TRUSTWORTHY, MEANS A LOT TO ME, LOT OF TIMES I CAN LEAVE THE APARTMENT TO DO WHAT I NEED TO DO.

I DESCRIBED THEM ALL AS AN A. THEY ARE SO OBVIOUSLY VERY GOOD. THE PEOPLE THAT PERFORM ALL OF THE CLEANING SERVICES ARE VERY GOOD AT THEIR JOBS.

THE FIRST TIME, THE WORK PERFORMED WAS EXCELLENT. THE WOMEN STAYED 6 HOURS. HOWEVER, THE SERVICE WAS REQUESTED AT NOON. THE SERVICE CHANGED WHO WAS BEING SENT THREE TIMES. I HAD TO CALL AND CALL TO FIND OUT WHERE THE MAIDS WERE. THEY WERE THREE HOURS LATE (NOT THE MAIDS' FAULT). THE SECOND TIME I HAD REQUESTED THE SAME PEOPLE TO RETURN FOR A SURFACE CLEANING. THEY DID NOT COME, EVEN AFTER I HAD CONFIRMED THE NIGHT BEFORE. INSTEAD, THE SERVICE SENT TWO OTHER PEOPLE WHO WERE 2 HOURS LATE, DID A VERY SURFACE CLEANING, AND ONLY STAYED 1.5 HOURS FOR THE FULL PRICE. I SIMPLY CAN'T SIT AROUND AND WAIT FOR PEOPLE TO SHOW UP. THE REFERRAL SERVICE DOES NOTHING TO COMPENSATE FOR THE TIME WASTED WAITING FOR THEIR SERVICE PEOPLE. THEY OFFER A $10 DISCOUNT, BUT THEY TAKE IT OFF THE MONEY THEY PAY THE WORKERS, WHEN IT IS NOT THEIR FAULT THAT THEY WERE NOT NOTIFIED TO SHOW UP SOONER. VERY POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE. I CONSIDER THEM EXPLOITIVE AND WOULD NOT USE THIS SERVICE AGAIN.

IT WAS VERY GOOD. THE WORK WAS GOOD. THEY CLEANED EVERYTHING WELL. THEY CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THEY BROUGHT THEIR OWN TOOLS AND SOLUTIONS, VACUUM CLEANER AND EVERYTHING.

WE HAVE USED THEM FOR ABOUT FOUR OR FIVE YEARS. WE HAVE HAD ONE NEGATIVE EXPERIENCE, BUT ALL THE REST HAVE BEEN GREAT. I AM PRETTY HAPPY WITH THE QUALITY OF WORK.

THE OVERALL EXPERIENCE HAS BEEN REALLY GOOD. THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY RESPONSIVE. THEY CALL PEOPLE THAT ARE ON THE WAY. THEY ALWAYS CALL AND ASK IF THE JOB WAS DONE WELL AND CALLS TO SCHEDULE THE PEOPLE WE LIKE.

IT'S REASONABLY GOOD. THEY CLEAN REASONABLY WELL. THAT'S ABOUT IT. DEPENDING ON WHO THE CREW IS, SOME OF THE CREWS ARE GOOD, AND SOME OF THE CREWS ARE NOT. GENERALLY I'VE BEEN SATISFIED WITH THEIR WORK.

I LIKE THE WAY THEY ALWAYS BRING TWO PEOPLE. THEY WORK FOR AN HOUR STRAIGHT, AND THEN THEY ARE DONE. THEY BRING ALL THE SUPPLIES. THE PEOPLE ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND NICE.

I'VE BEEN USING THEM FOR MORE THAN TEN YEARS, SO I THINK I'M HAPPY. THEY ALWAYS SEND THE PEOPLE I ASK FOR SO I DON'T HAVE ANY PROBLEM WITH THAT. I DON'T REALLY CALL THEM. THEY COME WHEN THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO. THEY DO A GREAT JOB.

IN 18 MONTHS, THERE HAS BEEN A FAIR AMOUNT OF STAFF TURNOVER. THE CENTRAL OFFICE IS PLUS MINUS ABOUT CALLING BACK WHEN YOU LEAVE A MESSAGE.

INITIALLY THEY MISSED A FEW SPOTS BUT I POINTED THEM OUT AND THEY GLADLY CLEANED THEM AFTERWARDS. IF YOU'RE SPECIFIC ABOUT WHAT YOU WANT THEM TO CONCENTRATE ON, THEN YOU SHOULD BE HAPPY.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE IS THAT SOME ARE GOOD AND SOME ARE NOT. THEY ARE NOT THOROUGH WITH SOME AREAS. WE DO GET SOMEONE THAT IS GOOD BUT THEY DON'T COME BACK AGAIN FOR THE NEXT VISIT.
