We had an old oven that another repair man failed to fix. south bay appliance was prepared for the job with proper parts and tools, and professional service. I would definitely call on them again.

Everything went great, he tested other items in my oven as well to make sure they were working (thermostat, etc.) and once the ignitor was replaced he checked that the oven was working properly - twice. It's hard to find people committed to doing a good job, and this guy was great! I would definitely hire them again.

It was an b. We schedule the called and they told us the day before they did not had a second person available. And we had to reschedule. Which was a inconvenience with the resident. A week later when they show up the tech was by himself. So, there's was no reason to delay the first appointment. The tech was good, but can't recommend the company. Too many issue to schedule and getting thing taking care of.

The technician removed the clog and cleared the standing water. He also provided suggestions to remove the hard water residue. Excellent service overall!

Ike was our repairmen and was so knowledgeable and friendly and funny. He fixed appliances that are 35 years old. I’ve decided that I’ll hire SB Appliance and Ike again to consult with us before we buy new appliances and redo our kitchen. He was that knowledgeable.

Had to pay for them come out to diagnose the problem. That's the only thing we didn't like. No free estimates. We were told up front, but they couldn't fix the problem, had a problem finding the parts needed. No refund whether they could fix the problem or not. As far as using them again is a question mark.

Very well. The technician was right on time, identified the problem quickly, had the parts on hand, and completed the repair all in less than an hour. I've also purchased appliances here and they are consistently friendly, with good prices, and locally operated for a long time. This is a much better option than a big box store.

Fully repaired and reminded me of the age of my refrigerator and that it was doing well by outlasting the average lifespan. But that I should be prepared to get a new in the next few years. Repairman was very knowledgable. Highly recommend!

Repair work went fine. He did a great job. Administratively, Did not receive call within specified time of part arrival. Had to check up on part orders when they arrive, which had arrived. But did not get processed promptly. I waited an extra couple of days to get it repaired.

Diagnosed the problem as a burnt out motherboard. Gave an estimate. Ordered the part once I made my decision and replaced the part. Easy and professional.

The repairman was professional and efficient. He clearly explained exactly what was wrong and the advantages and disadvantages of our various options to repair or replace the dishwasher (we replaced it).

I should begin by saying that I had had another Angie's List provider diagnose my issue and give me an estimate for the fix, which included ordering a new SubZero ice maker, a new water valve, and installing both, which would require two men to pull the unit out (SubZeros are big fridges). I decided that I wanted a second opinion, since the ice maker was totally frozen over (water was leaking all down the edge of my freezer) and he never actually pulled it out to look at it. I had used SB Appliance in 2014 (you can see previous review I wrote) and had had a good experience, so I had a hunch that maybe there was a simpler explanation. Mike listened to my concerns, pulled out the unit, and noticed that the fill cup (where the water is poured before it enters the tray -- I forget the exact name) had frozen over and that was causing the water to spill over instead of fill the ice tray. He melted the ice, reinstalled the tray, and voila! it was working. I am typing this four hours later, and I already have perfectly made ice cubes in my freezer. All this was done in no time at all, and Mike was patience and answered all of my questions. I can't believe how quickly it was done, and how much $$$ SB Appliance saved me. The previous provider I don't believe was dishonest -- I just think he rushed to diagnose the problem and wasn't thorough. Or maybe I'm naive or too trusting. In any event, I'm never going to even bother using anyone else. I've now used SB Appliance twice, and both times they gave me an honest assessment of the issue and fixed it at a reasonable cost. They're great.

We live pretty close to them so they are pretty prompt. They are good and very prompt. They are not cheap and there is nothing cut right on their prices but they are reliable and they are consistent. They are a little pricey but they are good. They know what they are doing. I would recommend them.

Submitted a request online. Was contacted and had an appointment setup. The repair technician arrived on time was very knowledgable. He diagnosed the problem gave me an estimate and had the new part installed in about 20 minutes.

They did an adequate job, they were fine, they were timely, it was fine. The dish washer broke with Christmas dinner in it. They were fine and pleasant on the phone. They were knowledgeable and professional.

They did a nice job. For them, it is like sliding off a rock. If I had something concerning any appliance, I would definitely use them. They do major appliances.

What I like best about them is that they don't mind talking to you before they come over. Because, there might be something that you could actually do yourself. Rather than show up at your house and like flip one switch that you could have flipped yourself and then you end up paying the minimum charge of like $150. They will walk you through what the options are a little bit, at least a little diagnostic work before they come over. It is hard to find.

Technician came as promised to check on dishwasher and cloth washer. Spent a good amount of time diagnosing situation. Cloth washer was fine. After we discovered dishwasher control panel was done, it was time to get a new one. Went down to showroom after couple of days and picked a new one, paid and set an appt. for installation. Installation was brisk, old unit removed, new unit tested and we are happy. Their pricing was pretty reasonable but I am at a stage where quality and experience make or break a deal.

Our oven was not working--not heating. The service person arrived at our house on time as per the previous day's scheduling. He thoroughly tested & inspected all operations of our oven & range top. Used electrical diagnostic equipment (voltmeter) to determine that there was a bad ignition unit. Replaced unit & tested oven to see that it was operating correctly. During the visit, the repair person gave many tips on oven/range operation to prevent unit misuse as well as some self-repair tips. Overall--very professional & expedient.

It went perfectly. John had told me that although he was ordering a new fan, that perhaps once he had installed the new computer board, that the original fan might start working again and that this would save us money in the part and additional labor so it would take some of the cost off the original estimate. Well, as luck would have it, that's exactly what happened. Once the computer board was put in the fan turned right back on. Thus we saved about $100. I so appreciate the honesty and integrity.
