They quote you one price and then upcharge you when they get to the site. Plus they added an undisclosed 35% fee on top of the permit fee. Beware.

Job was done well and fast

Our water heater started leaking and Fast Water Heater Company was able to quickly schedule a replacement. James was prompt and courteous and even called the night before to confirm the appointment and see if he could come a little early. (Magical words to hear when you have no hot water!) James arrived early as promised and set about the job. He assessed the situation and explained the additional installation charges that were necessary. Thanks, James, for the quick work and hot water!

The sevice tech James Labasan was very professional and thorough with his work. He was kind and explained about the installment of the water heater, shed and venting. We can tell he was a problem solver. Nothing was ever in queston or had any issue what so ever. When he finished is work it turned out better than I could've imagine. Definitely worth the price.

Prompt and efficient; good workmanship

I was hoping the issue was just a pilot light. Turned out there was a crack as evidenced by water in the water pan. I was happily surprised they had a replacement on the truck. It was also still under warranty. However, somehow the final price was almost as much as when I installed the last one. I did agree to a relief tank and all other suggestions. Comparing the line items to last time, it seemed to make sense. The extra charges this time were for new codes etc. the charges last time to get things up to code were marked as ok this time. The key for the price I think was last time the tank plus installation was $1000. Guessing tank was $600 and installation $400. This time installation of the free tank was $600. So guessing increase in rate. Add on the relief tank and final price was only $200 less. Everyone I talked to was professional and was not pushing anything. They gave me the option to decline things. I did accept things this time that I declined last time. The installer was a good guy. He explained everything and answered my questions.

They came and replaced the water heater really fast. All the work was professionally done. But no choice as to brand of hot water heater installed. Would use them again in a bind, but would have liked to choose the hot water heater, but didn't have time as some of the other installers would have not come for a couple of days and I couldn't wait that long.

8/27/17 Had a new hot water heater installed. Installation went fine and quality of product so far as been okay. Biggest complaint is with the customer service we received and the length of time to get the issue resolved. 10/24/17 Still had not received the permit. Contacted the company and a copy was emailed. 1026/17 City Inspector came to the residence. The inspection failed due to the insulation not done to code. A copy of the correction notice stating the problem was sent to the company. 11/7/17 Appointment set-up to make the correction. Around mid-morning my husband received a message at work that our appointment was cancelled because we could not be reached. When I contacted the “Supervisor” I was told they tried my cell phone but kept getting an error message. There was absolutely nothing wrong with my phone. When I asked if they could still come that day, I was told the best they could do was the following week on 11/15/17. 11/14/17 Because of the previous week “mix-up” I called late afternoon to confirm the appointment. After being on hold for several minutes, the “Supervisor” told me they were not keeping the appointment because the Field Service Supervisor deemed the city code to be a fire hazard. 11/15/17 After leaving 2 messages for the Field Supervisor, my husband finally spoke to him. He stated his reasons for not doing the insulation to code and said he would contact the city inspector to get the matter resolved. 12/7/17 Called for an update bunt nothing had been resolved with the city. 12/18/17 Received message from the company that our original permit had been returned because the address was incorrect and could I please call and give them the correct address. When I called back the number that was left turned out to be a locksmith company. I tried the number that the call was made from (Seattle area code) but it was a number that could not receive calls. 12/18/17 Still no response or update. Called the Field Supervisor again and his suggestion was that we contact the city inspector ourselves. 12/18/17 Spoke to the Senior City Inspector and received an email citing the code violations. He said the city could not intervene, but suggested that we file a complaint with the CSLB if the company refused to make the corrections. I contacted the company and they finally agreed to make the corrections. 12/27/17 The corrections were made and on 12/28/17 the city inspector signed the permit.

Bill was $1800 on a coupon for $1000. Supposedly required upcharges. No time to verify all of them. Some are probably good things to have but, all required work was done when this water heater was installed, maybe 10 years ago. Hard to believe that so much had changed.

I contacted the company at 7 am on a Monday after receiving their contact information, and had a confirmed appointment within 10 minutes of talking on the phone. I was contacted by the installer, and I arrived at my residence before he arrived. He was knowledgeable about the pros and cons of the products that he had on his truck, as well as with the plumbing codes for the city. The work was performed professionally, timely, and the area was cleaned up. The water heater has been providing hot water since the job was performed. I know that I paid more than if I would have if I shopped around, but in light of the time factor and not wanting to wait for callbacks from multiple plumbers, I feel that I received value for a product that should last for at least 12 years.

Everything went fine. They were here a half hour and were very efficient.

The service was performed without a problem but the time frame we agreed to was not respected. The installer called and insisted that he had to arrive 2 hours earlier than the agreed upon time. This caused us to quickly re-schedule another appointment. When I mentioned the previously agreed to time, I was told that they didn't make appointments that late (after 3:00) and I would have to re-schedule for another day if I could was not available because he was on the way.

The appointment was rescheduled to earlier in the day. The installer arrived on time, went over the work needed to be performed to install the water heater and performed the work quickly and professionally. Everything was handled extremely well. I am happy to recommend them to anyone.

During the recent, heavy rainstorm, our gas had to be turned back on by SoCal Gas techs after our building had been fumigated. The gas company technician who relit the pilot light on the new water heater pointed out that the vent pipe above the new tank had not been properly sealed. Also, the Fast Water Heater installer did not fully explain the effect the absence of a safety release valve drain would have on the permitting process until the new water heater was hooked up. So I'd be reticent to use their services again.

Very professional but be aware of all the city fees and add ons. They add up quick. Real quick.

It went well. They are very busy so it took a few days to get an appointment, but they were very prompt on the day of my appointment and did their best to get to me earlier.

They did a pretty good job.

Very professional. Get the job promptly. Had to pay about $300 extra because of required city code. But would be happy to hire him again.
