Clean, professional and no hard sell!

The initial experience was excellent, but the follow up service well, didn't happen. It was ridiculous. Edwin came out and gave an estimate. We got three total, and went with him. He offered the middle price, not the cheapest, not the highest, but I picked him because he seemed really sharp. He confirmed the day before, and arrived on the scheduled time/day and installation went smoothly and efficiently. I and my wife were very happy with his service. We had one downspout, however, that got dented immediately, while they were still there, as there were other contractors there that bumped it (this downspout was near a work area). Edwin said no worries, he'd come back and replace it when all our workers were gone, and it'd be $50. I noted a fence might be installed too that could also require a second downspout to be moved slightly. He said no problem. All of this was around Halloween 2016. 

However, once the workers were all done with our house, and with a fence now up, I called Edwin to address the two downspouts, the one dented the day it was installed, the other that needed to be adjusted for the fence. This was about just before Christmastime 2016 now. Edwin was exceptionally difficult to reach and didn't return calls. But it was the holidays, so understandable. About the New Year's timeframe, he texted and said he'd be out of town for several weeks. No problem. However, by late January, and then February, and then March, he remained impossible to get a hold of. (However, I saw new reviews on Angie's List, confirming he was around doing jobs.) By mid February, I began calling every week or so, and then by March, every few days. I was always polite and tried to understand that he was busy. He finally replied one time in early March, saying the cost would be $150. I texted back asking why not $100 since he told me the one downspout was $50, and since I had two to address, I thought it would be $100. He never replied again. After several more texts and calls that went unanswered, and a few more weeks gone by, my wife got a hold of him by phone, and he said the cost was $250, his minimum charge, and my wife said he was rude to her once she mentioned that he had previously said $50 for the one downspout. She ended the call without committing to anything. She ultimately tracked down the gutter supplier, and we bought our own parts, and did the final labor ourselves on the two downspouts (grand total cost was $42 by the way).

Simply put, Edwin was great at first, but had no follow through and after-purchase support. By California law, a contractor must supply a one year warranty. Well, since he is unresponsive, I doubt you'd get this if needed. My situation may or may not have qualified as a warranty claim, but I do not feel I can rely on him should I need such, and it is very disappointing. I had expected to leave him a very positive review here, as so many others have. I guess we are just not worth his time. Proceed with caution..

Edgar was able to give me a quote the same day I called and perform the work the next day.  Awesome!  He was very professional, explained all of my options and was knowledgable about PVE codes.  They did a great job installing new seamless rain gutters and downspouts and we could not be happier!  Thanks Ed!

We had a somewhat serious gutter problem at the front of our house with water accumulating on the ground during heavy rains.  Given that El Nino is on its way to Los Angeles, we became quite concerned about the possibility of water going into our crawlspace.  So I logged onto Angie?s List to find recommended companies to help us out.  The first provider I contacted never responded to 3 telephone VM?s nor to 2 e-mails.  So we moved on to another prospective company and got lucky:  I called Mr. Edwin Garcia of Ed?s Rain Gutters and left a message.  Mr. Garcia called me back the very same day.  I was surprised at his speedy response and very happy too.  It turned out that Edwin had been working in our vicinity, and my husband was on his way home from work.  So Edwin said he?d stop by, and he and my husband met outside to examine the gutter situation.  Right away, Edwin proposed a solution and gave us a written estimate, along with a verbal timeframe for when he could do the work.  Four days later (a Friday), Edwin and his helper arrived at our house.  He had squeezed us in to his busy schedule, stating, ?It?s going to rain on Sunday.?  So the two quickly removed our old downspout which led into a blocked underground pipe. They then installed a new downspout to drain that part of our roof to a safe point several feet from the house. The water which used to accumulate will now flow down the yard in a pipe that empties into a lower garden and then into the street gutter.  In a matter of about an hour, the job was completed and well done!!!  Let me add, Edwin and his helper are two very nice and amiable and pleasant men.  They obviously do their jobs well, and they seem to enjoy their work.  If anyone ever mentions any gutter problems to us, we?ll refer Edwin and his company highly to one and all!!!  And I told Edwin that as he left our house.  So, in very good time, our vexing problem with pooling water at that end of our house is SOLVED!!!  And we can enjoy the coming rains without worry!  Muchas gracias to Sr. Garcia and his helper!

SUPERB!  WOULD HIRE AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IN A HEARTBEAT!!!
What a great guy and company.   Edwin Garcia is a treasure who has been in the business for years.  We just fixed our rental house but it didn't have rain gutters and we were concerned about El Nino.  We contacted other companies.  Here's what I really appreciate about Ed:  1) He showed upon time, 2) Has his own truck that actually makes the gutters.  This is very important since it means that you don't have unnecessary joints where you don't need them.  He can cut the gutters to fit the length of the house, which gives it a cleaner look.  3) He gave us a choice of gutters. 4) He came with 2 people rather than one and the job was supervised.  (other companies weren't going to supervise).  5) Explained why we didn't need gutters all the way around the garage, but only on one side, so we didn't need to pay for unnecessary work. 6)  He took pictures of the before and after so we knew in advance what we needed to do and we saw what was done afterwards.  7)  Ed takes pride in his work!  
I wouldn't look any further!  He will always be my "go to" guy for gutters and I recommend him with enthusiasm!  

Ed was great!  He showed up exactly on time to give us an estimate and was able to give us an appointment to install a couple of weeks afterwards.  His pricing was good and the color recommendation for the gutters was perfect!!  They look fantastic.  He was not only prompt - but early to install today.  You can tell that he takes pride in his work.  He was professional and easy to work with. There has not been any rain yet, but I am sure that we will be extremely happy with our decision.  Would highly recommend Ed!

Edwin was very responsive, returning my calls within a few days. He came out almost immediately to give me an estimate, and wrote up different parts as options, since my husband and I disagreed as to where gutters were needed and where they were not. When I finally called him back to accept the job, he told me when he could schedule me and his crew showed up exactly as stated, exactly on time or even a little early. Job was done in maybe 1/2 a day -- no muss, no fuss for us. Edwin himself went up on the roof to inspect, and used his phone to take pictures to show me where the roofing at the peak was wearing away. (That was a separate job.)

Excellent.  They were on time, did all work exactly as promised and finished in less than three hours.  They consulted me on location of downspouts and then completed the work.

Edwin is one of the good guys. Super honest, knowledgeable, professional and responsive. He showed up on time and gave a very fair estimate, went through several options in detail and then performed the work just one week later. I wish Edwin did more than just Gutters as I'd use him to finish the rest of my construction! Hard to find quality people like this, I highly recommend.

Edwin responded very quickly and each time he came out, he arrived just when he said he would.  Job was also finished on schedule.  He gave us a layout of his suggested locations for down spouts.  He was very knowledgeable and you can tell he has been in the business for quite some time.  Would highly recommend him to others.

Ed came over to inspect the job a day after our first contact, and prepared a detailed bid within 10 minutes. It compared favorably with other prices I'd seen. He made an appointment to come a week later, and actually arrived over an hour early. He himself did the job with one associate. He was knowledgeable and discussed alternatives with me. I plan to use him in the future and would definitely recommend him.

I contacted Ed thru Angies list. Ed contacted me less than 6 hrs. We looked at the house the next day, Ed was on time professional and courteous. He gave me a bid the next day gave me some options( I took all the options) went over placement of down spouts and optional locations for them, Ed and His crew installed them 3 days later. it has rain since then they work very well. I had requested a quote by email. enclosing a picture along with a description of what I wanted done.  Ed responded by email with an initial estimate promptly.  I phoned him several days later to request that he do the job.  He said it would be over two weeks before he could get to it,; then he noticed my address was between two jobs he had the next day, so scheduled me for the next day.  He arrived with two helpers at the specified time.  They worked efficiently and had everything finished in 45 minutes.  They were polite and professional and competent.

The install went great.  Gutters look great.  Ed even did them without me being home.  I would highly recommend Ed's Rain Gutters to anyone.

I recently bought a "fixer upper" and so I have been dealing with a lot of contractors.   One of the home's problems were its leaky gutters and drainage.   I studied the issues after several rains and came up with a revised gutter and downspout plan.   I then contacted 3 gutter companies that were on Angie's List and Edwin stood out.   Edwin was the lowest bidder, but more importantly, I could tell that he wanted my business.   Due to the odd configuration of my home, I needed both 5" and 6" gutters.   The other 2 gutter companies said they could only provide one size but Edwin was willing to provide both sizes (and at a cheaper cost than the other 2 companies with only 1 size!).   He also had some suggestions on how I could improve the gutter plan I prepared.   The primary purpose of the gutters is to collect water but Edwin was also focused on the aesthetic appearance of the gutters and i appreciated his comments.   We need more contractors like Edwin!

Ed was very responsive. Prior to speaking with Ed, I had left messages with two other gutter companies suggested by neighbors and had never heard back from either. I initially contacted Ed via his cell phone number on Angie's List and once I explained what was needed, he was very upbeat and suggested that I text him a photo to see if the connection was something he could solve. The landscaper who had install a French drain in our front yard had been unable to find off-the-shelf pieces to enable the water from the existing downspout to pour directly into the pipe he had dug in the raised flower bed. Ed responded to the text immediately that he could take care of it. It was the week prior to Thanksgiving and since we were unable to find a mutually good time to meet I put off he appointment until the week after the holiday.  That Monday I texted the location and because of the rain expected Tuesday, we decided on Thursday or Friday.  Thursday morning I received a call from Ed; we set up a time in the afternoon.  Unfortunately, I was detained at another appointment and texted that he could start. By the time I arrived 15 minutes after our scheduled appointment time, Ed had created the connection and had the aluminum painted in a color that blends with our stucco. Perfect!  He was then good enough to check out another two downspouts feeding into the alley that get abuse from the garbage can emptiers. Eddie felt that the curved pieces didn't need replacing, but he added a strap to one and an additional bolt to the other. Then he noticed a hole in the gutter above, moved his truck to the location, climbed aboard its roof and filled in the hole with silicone. Ed is honest, personable and definitely knows about gutters.  I'll be using him for any future gutter needs and will happily refer him to friends.

I used then 2 yrs ago and I am getting ready to use them again for gutter repair. They are a good company and I highly recommend them. My HOA mangement company highly recommends them as well.

They found the best route for gutters, considering many drainage/puddling issues around our house. The colors they had matched our paint exactly, so they look great! Ed was very nice, on time for estimate and job, and I recommend him highly.

Ed's Rain Gutters provided a very competitive estimate, confirmed the night before, showed up on time at 7:00 the day of the installation and did the installation along with his equally hardworking expert. Ed uses seamless aluminum gutters that are formed in the drive way right out of his truck, aluminum corner fittings and downspouts. He connected 5 large 60 gallon rain barrels that use a diverter fitting and tube from the downspout to collect dew run-off and rain, which I provided. He also provided diversion tubes for three downspouts to water my front and back yards. The installation is excellent, strong and very well integrated with artistic transitions between the original house and a large addition. Ed was very personable, explained how his system worked, told me how to maintain the system and was a pleasure to work with. All of my Angie's list contractor experiences have been excellent, but Ed was exceptionally easy to work with. He left his contact information and invited future calls if problems occur in the future or adjustments are needed. I highly recommend this contractor.
