While at my house repairing some vents for me, Claude noticed that my dryer was electric and mentioned that he could install a new gas line for "a couple hundred dollars". I got a couple additional quotes to determine that it was indeed a fair price. I originally scheduled Claude to come out on a Friday afternoon around 3. He called me around 2:00 to let me know that he was running late at the previous job and to find out if I wanted to reschedule to job. I re-scheduled him to come out Monday evening after work, since the weekend had a conflict for me.
Claude arrived on time and went to work installing the new gas line. It took him less than 2 hours to complete the job, which included hooking up my new gas dryer and ensuring that everything worked correctly.
I am completely satisfied that Claude is dealing with me fairly and professionally. I expect that I will call him in the future for upgrades and necessary repairs.

Claude was recommended to me by my previous landlord. He seemed honest and fair each time he had worked for them. Claude was one of 3 quotes that I got for the work - all about the same price, so since I had previous experience with him, I scheduled the job. He was available to do the job on the upcoming Saturday, which worked for my schedule. Claude arrived on time and went right to work. He completed both parts of the job within 3 hours and cleaned up the areas that he worked in.
Since he was going under the house, I asked him about copper re-piping; my home inspector had informed me that the main lines had been done, but all the branches to the sinks, toilets, and showers were still galvanized. Claude thought it would be unusual for only the main lines to be done, but said he would take a look around while under the house. Claude informed me that all of the plumbing in my house is already copper and that the company that had done the job had left the old galvanized plumbing in place, which is what my home inspector saw. I share this, because I believe that he could have given me an estimate to do the job any way and gotten paid. The honesty speak volumes.
