Made appointment for Sat 8/20/2011. Chandler's set appointment from 8:00 am to 9:30 AM. No one showed up. I called them at 9:45 amand asked where they were. They said wait a minute. Came back on line and gave an excuse that "His girl went home early and didn't give him (Brian) his schedule." I said I would wait as they were 10 minutes from my home. They said no, then had the gall to ask me if I wanted to re-schedule. I declined. Wasted my mourning for thes clowns.

They were the most professional and accessible company of the four we considered from ANGIE'S LIST. Their quote was also the highest.  So we did not go with them initially.  However, They called and asked us why and we told them.  They said they would negotiate based on the other quotes we had gotten. They went that extra FIVE miles to get our business.  The fellow that came to do the estimate was kind, clean, professional and took lots of pictures. The owner even came over and spent plenty of time explaining things with my ailing father and special needs sister!  They made their price affordable but what clinched it was when they asked:  "Of the companies you got estimates from, who do want to deal with in the future if anything should ever go wrong?" 
There was only one answer: Chandler Roofing! 
I was so afraid all through the process. So many people have told me about their roofing nightmares.  All through the process I was set for "the other shoe to drop" and the nightmare would start!  And when the other shoe dropped, it was as wonderful comfy soft slipper because Chandler  Roofing is a dream come true!  EVERYTHING and I mean everything they promised, everything they did,  was TOP NOTCH! 

Clean, Professional, Comparable, Fast, Considerate, Patient, Understanding.  Really.  And there were so many special things they had to do to make that roof  "well" again!   You want to know what really what struck me the most?  When they were done, I could really feel they were genuinely excited and proud of their work as they were showing us all the neat ways they handled their challenges!

It was pretty quick and that was good.

We liked their follow up and inspection.  They took photos of the existing roof so we could see the problem areas.  They were very informative and definitely wanted to give us good service.  They finished the job on time.  They had scheduled to come back and install a gutter a week or two later and they showed up on time for that as well.  All in all we were very satisfied.

I called just before Christmas, and the owner Brian Hicks was able to come out about 2 weeks later, a few days after New Year's Day, to give me an estimate. I was impressed that he showed up to give me the estimate, even though I had made the appointment 2 weeks prior. The estimate had two parts - the price to do the repair (no warranty), and an additional fee for an optional 1-year warranty. I declined the warranty.    This was a very busy time for them, just after a lot of heavy rain in December, and my job was pretty small (1-2 hours they were here), so he worked me in where he could when he had another job in the area. Because of that, I didn't get a lot of advance notice. On the day that they did the job (a Tuesday), he called me in the morning to see if that day would be ok, and then later in the afternoon I got another call saying that they were picking up supplies for my job and would be there in about an hour. This was 2 weeks after he had given me the estimate.    The 2 people who came to do the work were very professional, polite, courteous. They did a great job of keeping nearby areas clean as they did the work, and cleaned everything up when they were finished. I didn't see any debris left after the job was done. The senior of these two, who did the work on the vent pipe removal, started right in on the job, and from what I could see on the ground I had no question about him knowing what he was doing, it looked like he did nice work.    The only problem that I had was about a week earlier, a Saturday, when I got a call early in the morning saying that the foreman thought that they would finish up early on another job in the area and they would be able to work me in later that day. No one ever called me back that day, and I called in the afternoon to see if they were still planning to come, left a message when I got a recording saying that that was the number to leave a message 24hrs, and got no response to my message. Brian called me back early Monday morning when he found out what had happened. He apologized and asked if I still wanted them to do the work. In my overall experience, this incident did not count for much because he handled it well and seemed pretty sincere in his apology.    Brian did an excellent job of answering my many questions, especially about the vent pipe removal. He was very professional in all of my interactions with him. I would definitely use them again.    Regarding the price, this was the only estimate that I got, but it seemed reasonable, and the service was great and I don't question the quality.

They were quick to respond and kept their word. The work crew was great. They had the whole work done in one day. They cleaned up so nice that no one would know that they were here. I guess they were probably higher priced, but absolutely worth it for the quality of the work that they did. I would recommend them to others. I would use their service in the future too.

They did an excellent job. They were professional and thorough. I think that the price was high but I didn't mind paying because the quality was good. We did not have any problem with them.

My interaction with Chandler's Roofing Inc Company was just fine. They were responsive. However, we decided to we wanted somebody who was much less expensive. I would consider them in future.

UPDATE (3/3/11): Brian, the owner, called me personally to apologize. He came out to give me a very competitive estimate. He was very responsive and professional. I decided to go with a friend of a friend's roofer who gave me an amazing deal (ahhh, connections), but Brian did step it up and went from an F to a B. He didn't get an A because of the first encounter. ORIGINAL (2/28/11) Jeff came out and didn't even shake my hand or smile. He looked at me with disdain. BAD first impression. When I made the appointment, I specifically requested it for a GAF Golden Pledge complete re roof. Jeff told me only his boss can write those quotes and he was just helping out. After handing me a Golden Pledge packet, he said he would email the quote by the evening. I told him we are makiing our decision within a couple of days. Never received the quote. Business must be great - I guess our money's not good enough for them.

Even though he was slightly more expensive than some of the others, I selected him because I thought he would do the best job. He ended up doing a great job.

Very professional estimate and discussion of alternatives. Work was accomplished in a timely fashion and appears to be a very good job. My only issue was setting a time for initiation of the project: they did not schedule an exact date but called the morning that they could start the project. I could not be home the first try but was the second. Timing of the project may have been last minute because it was a local job that they wanted to fit in between larger ones on a 'time available' basis. I will contact them again for an estimate on the asphalt shingle replacement when that is necessary.

The roofing contractor sent a very experienced team which did a high quality job. I always feel more comfortable when I know the supervisor on the job is so knowledgeable and felt especially good that he has worked with this solar panel company on numerous other jobs. He and his team were extremely meticulous and thorough in making sure all details were done correctly. They took great pride in their work and seemed just as pleased as i was when the final product turned out looking so good. I would definitely recommend them to my neighbors.

Chandler's Roofing did a great job on my house and It looks great with no problems

I cannot heap enough praise on the work done by Chandler's! Ricardo came out exactly on time to give us a bid. He asked a few pertinent questions, looked at the locations of water damage inside the house and then went up on the roof. He spotted at least two things that were installed incorrectly when we had the entire roof redone with our "30 year guarantee" by the previous, incompetent roofer. He then gave us a date two days later when we could expect a bid by email. The bid was half of that of the other contractors who came out--the others did not spot the inherent flaws in the roof. Ricardo exuded knowledge and quiet competence, so we felt comfortable taking the low bid. The bid included the cost to tarp the roof (since rain was forecast before we could get the fix done) and the cost to do a complete maintenance of the roof and gutters. Well, Ricardo and his crew got the tarps up and the sky opened and the monsoon fell--for the first time in years we watched out the windows at the rain while staying in a dry and cozy house (no pots, no tarps, no towels!!) The tarps held fast through all of the 3 or 4 big storms with high winds. Then Richardo and his crew came out and went to work. I needed to have a clear path to get my wheelchair bound brother in and out of the house. Ricardo made sure we had that path--the driveway was kept clear every day so we could get in and out freely for doctor's appointments,etc. The workers were incredibly neat, quiet and courteous. The only noise was the necessary hammering, and even that seemed to be kept to a minimum. After they completed the job, a day ahead of the predicted schedule, they left no litter or dirt or anything behind. The whole roof and all the gutters looked brand new--this includes the areas that were only cleaned and maintained and not completely repaired. Then it rained, hard. Again no leaks, no moisture--just the contentment of a dry home with a solid roof. The bill included extras for the wood, fascia board and tile that had to be replaced since this was not calculated until the actual amount requiring replacement was determined during the repair, but the amount for these items was a little less than the guess given at the beginning, plus the unit costs of these items were very reasonable.

The work was done very nicely. The gutters are done in such a way that is not completely visible from the street. They broke into the stonework and set the downspout in it that looks handsome & nice. It was a very nice experience.

Overall they are outstanding. They showed up on time and the price was exactly what was agreed upon. They were efficient and finished in the time they said. And the quality of the work was excellent.

Chandler's did a great job for us from the estimate to the completion. They have a terrific reputation in this area for quality work and that's what we experienced. Their people were very concerned about cleaning up at the end of each day and kept the area neat throughout the day. The project took 2 weeks and they maintained good communication with us throughout.
