Valencia Electric Solutions

The good:

* He saved me money by repairing instead of replacing the bathroom fan.  He had tried to install the new fan but it would have taken major construction to make the fan vent space larger to accommodate it; he did a lot of crawling around in the hot attic to try to make it work but he saved me money by not insisting on making it work and I appreciate that.
* He installed 2 CFCI wall outlets very quickly
* He explained why he couldn't fix another outlet (wiring went under the kitchen floor tile so he would have had to tear it up)
* He was very nice, carefully protected the surrounding surfaces, and cleaned everything up very nicely before he left
The bad:
* He missed the original appointment and never called; I had stayed home from work for nothing.  I had to call his phone and leave a message.  Someone called him and woke him up.  I appreciated that he was at least honest about it - he had been on a large job until late the evening before and slept through the alarm.
* It went well when he did show ... until he took the fan to repair it.  He didn't call me back for weeks.  I had this huge hole in my bathroom ceiling for the longest time and, since it's a single-story house, it was letting in hot air, dust, bugs, who-knows-what all day/night during the summer.
* I left several messages that went unanswered - not even a courtesy call. 
* Finally, about 5 weeks (?) later, he called back, set an appointment and sent someone else to install the fan - who arrived at a time other than what I had scheduled.  So it interrupted a business conference call I had going on.  That guy looked stunned as I was just motioning him to where the fan needed to go but since I was the facilitator of the client call, I couldn't hang up and talk to him.  I didn't even see him leave but the fan works now.
What he did, he did well.  But he REALLY needs to work on his customer communication.  Stuff happens ... we get that.  Just call and let us know.  As the saying goes, "bad news doesn't get better with time" so just call and keep us updated.  And get an appointment app on your phone so you can stay organized.

The serviceman called, and was very professional, about a hour prior to the appointment and said he would he was on his way and should arrive at the scheduled time.  Upon arrival he could not be any more friendly and promptly wanted to see the bathrooms.  He made the necessary repairs and explained in detail what he was doing and even encourage my questions.  The serviceman was named Curtis and was just as professional as when I call your company, Angie's List  with a question.  Thanks Curtis for being so kind and humorist.

We couldn't have asked for a nicer, more competent provider! Curtis explained everything he was doing and finished all the miscellaneous tasks more quickly than we expected. The prior electrical work on our older house seems to be an interesting hodge podge, so getting someone who could demystify the random things that had been done was very helpful. Plus he was so efficient we sort of ran out of actual tasks to fill our two hours!

Sowed up on time. Was very informative on his duties and extra info as well. Nice guy and did what was asked of them.

I purchased the Angie's List coupon on 8/13 morning; Steve called and scheduled for the next afternoon.
Curtis called ahead, arrived on time, asked pertinent questions, and set to work. He seemed to have an excellent understanding of the wiring. He tested each outlet, including the garage freezer. Within 1.5 hours, he'd found the problem, repaired it, retested, cleaned up and called into the office. My husband and I were very impressed with his knowledge, friendliness and professionalism. We will definitely call on Valencia again when we need electrical service. They were great!

Update:  
After contacting Angie's list regarding my issues, Steve from Valencia Electric contacted me immediately with a sincere apology and offered to come the next day to do the work.  Although I was a little leery, I went ahead and scheduled the service for the next week. The electrician arrived on time and was very professional. Our house has very, shall we say, unique electrical wiring, which means that a single outlet replacement that should take a matter of minutes can 15 minutes or more. I stopped doing the replacements and hired someone because I assumed my DIY skills were part of the problem.  I was sadistically happy to learn that the professional ran into the same frustrations as I did. The electrical wiring really was jacked up and it wasn't me.   Needless to say, everything was replaced, installed and working perfectly.  He did go over on the time but we sort of expected it, so not a big deal.  A few days later, Steve contacted me again to make sure the job was performed to my satisfaction and also apologized again for the miscommunication.  Ultimately, I'm very happy I chose to give them a second chance.  I would recommend them and would use them again.   

Valencia Electric Solutions contacted me the first day asking what I needed done and what the best contact information would be.  After that, I never heard from them.  I contacted them four times and am not waiting any more.  I have contacted Angie's List to get a replacement deal from a company I had better luck with before.

Steve did a great job, and he was very professional. He called me when he was on his way and quickly got to work once he arrived. I am looking forward to having Steve and VES come back to add electrical to my outdoor storage room...thanks VES!!!

The owner was very responsive and showed up on site several times to observe and even help to make sure deadlines were met.  They were able to consult with us on the best options for ease of use, regulatory compliance, aesthetic appeal and cost-efficiency.   The crew was very personable and knowledgeable.  They always arrived on time and maintained professional courtesy throughout the entire project.  We made several special requests and each one was handled with positive agreement, and many at no additional cost.
I am very pleased with this company and would refer them to my closest family and friends, and of course, anyone else who is looking for a smart, insightful, cost-conscientious company to handle all of your electrical needs!

Steven was awesome. He was very responsive, professional and did a great job installing the fans. It took him 2 1/2 hours as he had to put electrical boxes first (since I previously only had light fixtures there) then install the fans. He even came back later to adjust one of the switch that controls the fan (without charging me).
I just moved into a new home and have a lot of things to fix, and I'm definitely calling Valencia Electric for my other electrical needs!

Original request was for recessed lighting over garage but it wasn't possible due to access and structure of garage frame. Steve suggested alternative of setting up external fixtures along garage that worked out. I was unaware that 2 people would be needed (and charged) for project but despite it all, good work provided by Steve.

Good experience!  Steven was professional and well spoken.  He was very prompt and provided good follow-up.  The evening before he stated he would be able to stop by the following day between 2-4.  He arrived at approximately 445P.  Note, forty minutes prior to his arrival he texted and called me advising he was on his way.  Upon his arrival, Steven was cordial, yet knowledgeable, and was able to diagnose and resolve the electrical issue in a timely manner.  He discovered that there was a loose connection in the ceiling that had affected multiple areas of the house.  My first impression in speaking with him, you can tell he is very honest and does not feed you nonsense.  I've been seeking a good, honest, experienced electrician who is local to my area and I believe he is will be a good choice.  I will definitely be utilizing his company's services for future electrical work.  Thanks again goes out to Steve the team at Valencia Electric Solutions to getting my house back to normal.
