The tile cleaning was fine. The tile repair was another story. Scheduling the tile work took many phone calls between the owner and his workers. After many delays, (someone broke an ankle, someone was hospitalized, someone was sick), they showed up to do the tile repair. I provided the tile. They did the repair, but when they were done, they didn't have clear caulk to finish the job, so they used white (didn't match the rest of my pool), but by this point, I just wanted them to be done.
Three months later, some of the tile they applied have fallen off. My conversations with the owner Mike Wood have been difficult at best. He set an appt with me to look at the tile, and I was home but he just left his card on the door stating that he had been here. Despite sending him pictures of the tile, he insists that isn't the tile he replaced (he can't come out to look at it because he's too busy). His emails have been nasty and argumentative. I paid another company to come out and repair the caulk so it matched the rest of my pool, and I will be calling them to fix the tile. I'm done with this guy.
If you want a run around and a guy that doesn't stand behind his work, this is the guy. Hire another company.
The contractor turned the pool pump on before the water level was high enough and I came back to find the pool pump trying to run without water. I don't know how long this went on for, but luckily the pool pump did not seem to be damaged.
The epoxy peeled after less than six months, after epoxy life was promised to be at least a year. I did not get a response to my complaint. I will not be using Surface Renewal again.
Would I use them again, YES. We are hoping to have the tiles and pool acid washed ... maybe next year.
