It started with the need to replace the sink in moms kitchen. We knew we would need to replace the countertops to replace the sink. Pete came over and while he was there mom began to inquire about new appliances and cabinets. Pete listened and explained what was involved. He inspected the cabinets and actually recommended that they be left in place as they were in good shape. (He could have sold her cabinets and didn't. He knows she is on a budget. Impressive) He helped her with some suggestions on appliances and recommended a couple of vendors. After a few weeks of appliance and granite shopping, my mother had her wish list ready. Pete reviewed the list and gave a start date and budget.
The project was completed a day early and under budget. Mom was so happy with how it turned out that she asked him if he did general repairs.
She had some drain issues on the side yard and needed to upgrade the electrical/plumbing in her master bath. Pete was patient with her and listened to all her worries and her version of what she needed. He laid out a plan and we agreed to it.
Overall, everything was completed on time and as planned. The bathroom work took an extra day because, as often happens in older homes, once the wall was opened there was a problem with the pipes and vent. There was corrosion on the supply lines and whoever built the house did a shortcut on the vent. Pete called me over to look at what was involved. He explained what the probable issue would be if we did not do the repairs, told me his solution, and I gave the okay to proceed. I trust him not to sell something I do not need. He could have sold my mother kitchen cabinets but did not. So for one days extra work and a minor cost in a change to the original project, we eliminated a future issue.
The workers did a good job of keeping things clean as my mother was living there the whole time. After all the work was done and I did the final inspection and payment I mentioned that I was going to have some cleaners come in. Pete offered to send in a cleaning service to put the final touch on the job. It wasn't really necessary, but it was so appreciated that he would offer that.
This is now two jobs they have done for us that came out as planned, on budget, and on time. Having one contractor to do all the work makes it easy. It was truly a "one call does it all" experience. We have another remodel in mind in our home and will definitely use this company again.
"We are truly happy to hear that you are satisfied with the work that our team has done. We appreciate your business and we want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you and your friends."
Overall this job turned out better than expected.
Kitchen: This was a complete gut and rebuild. Ron and Pete (owner/contractor for Flooring Kitchen and Bath) purchased/installed all new appliances. Pete accompanied us to the warehouse to pick the granite slabs, and we picked cabinet design (custom made) from his store. We barely had to do a thing. We made some minor changes partway through the kitchen re-model, and Pete wasn't fazed at all. It did throw our schedule off a bit, but that was fair. He did a minor change at no cost to us, and the more costly changes (lighting and back splash tile and the inevitable surprises when the walls were opened) were very fairly priced. The employees showed up as scheduled and cleaned up every day. The job took about two weeks due to the changes we made and the hidden damage to the oven vent (easily repaired) when we opened the wall. Excellent result.
Bath: this was a simpler job as we just did the light fixture and custom made cabinet with granite top to match the cabinets in the kitchen. Pete helped us find the perfect sink and faucet to match the rest of the décor.
Flooring: we chose a ceramic tile for the living room that was a close match to the existing tile in the den. We didn't have the budget to re-do all the tile, and Pete understood our dilemma. He searched for a few weeks to find us the right tile. We are very impressed. For the upstairs and stairway, they pulled up all the old flooring and installed all new laminate flooring. The job took two days as was expected.
"We truly appreciate your business, and we're grateful for the trust that you have placed in us. We are happy to hear that you are satisfied with the work that our team has done. Thank you!"
