I am home bound and I rely on my computer very much.  I forgot to renew the remote computer repair service that I purchased from Office Max so my anti-virus protection expired.  I called Office Max to see if I could renew over the phone.  NO.  And, they doubled the cost since last year from $99/yr to $199/yr.  Well, I am not going to pay that much since I rarely use it more than twice a year.  So, I remembered Your Traveling Geek because when I spent the summer in California last year my friend recommended him to fix my computer.  He came to my studio and did a great job.  So, I called him and asked if he could clean my computer remotely like Office Max did.  And, I asked if he was bonded.  I mentioned he should make the remote repair a part of  his business instead of travelling all over the city wasting gasoline and travel time for things he can do remotely.  I did my research and learned he can't access my computer without me opening the appropriate program and then giving him an ID number and password.  I can sit and watch what he does if I want but I have total confidence in his integrity so I just leave and he calls me to check it out before he signs off.  It went great.  I paid him $30 and get a 30 day guarantee.  If anything happens within that time he will fix it for free.   That is 1/3 what it would cost me to renew with Office Max.  So, I am happy and recommend Your Traveling Geek.  Oh, and he's cute too!!
