SEFERINO LACHINO TREE SERVICE

In early June 2008, I contracted with Mr. Lachino to trim bushes and trees in my front and back yards, and to remove one tree. His crew performed the work on June 4 and 5, 2008. The tree was removed and Mr. Lachino indicated that he had a different crew that did nothing but remove tree stumps and roots and he would have them do that the following week. Mr. Lachino also said that he personally would come back and "shape" some of the bushes. Three weeks later the tree stump and roots had not been removed and I had not heard from Mr. Lachino. I tried numerous to call Mr. Lachino and his cell number was "no longer in service" and his home number "cannot accept calls at this time" and the last time I tried to call his home number, it had been disconnected. I sent a certified letter to the address on Mr. Lachino's business card and it was returned with the notation "Address not Known." On July 10, 2008 I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. On July 31, 2008 when I got home from work, Mr. Lachino had left a business card on my front door with a new phone number and a notation: "Please call me ... Friday ... a crew will over your house." However, when I called the number he had left, it was a cell phone number for a gentlemen who worked at an insurance company and had no idea who Mr. Lachino was. I have heard nothing more from Mr. Lachino and the Better Business Bureau has also been unable to get in touch with him. I would encourage anybody who contracts with this gentlemen to make sure ALL the work is complete before you make final payment. Something I wasn't smart enough to do!
