The vets and the techs are knowledgeable and they do a good job handling the pets. They are kind to both pets and the owners. You feel like you got a thorough evaluation and follow-up.

Dr. Alfaro was very helpful. She was caring and direct, she answered all of our questions and helped us understand how to care for a diabetic dog. When we arrived home, I called with a couple of additional quesitons and she came to the phone and helped us.
Alex the tech showed us how to administer the insulin injections. He along with the other staff are wonderful.
The staff at SJVH is incredible. The receptionists and techs treat every pet and every owner with respect and if you go there often for routine care, you feel like family. The entire staff shamlessly fusses over our dogs. As strange as it seem, this dog who had to be hosptialized several times at SJVH for major procedures actually loves going there. He cannot wait to get in the door. I think this is a testament to the caring nature of all of the staff at SJVH.
I believe that emergencies situations bring out the true nature of businesses. Based on our past and current experiences with SJVH I would give them an outstanding rating in all categories.

Their staff is very friendly and at the front desk they are just great. Everybody out there is very helpful. I buy my dog food there and they will help me carry it out to my car. They are great with my pets and take care of them well. My animals are doing okay. I like them.
