Pep Boys Auto

I used Angie's list to get price estimates from a few mechanics and Pep Boys was a few hundred dollars less than others and when I got to the shop i found that seniors and military get a 10 % discount for work done T,W,Th. Cool. The work was done in one day but when I picked up the car it made a loud rumbling noise and the service manager kept the car and had the entire job done over, which was a hassle because it took another day but they were so apologetic and quick to correct the problem that I still give them this excellent review. The car runs as smooth, or smoother, than ever.

My 1990 300ZX had been not starting regularly or every time. Sometimes it would act as if the battery was completely dead. I finally figured out that if I pulled on the battery cable under the hood the car would start. Yesterday (3/17/2013 I took my Z out for a Sunday spring drive and while driving the car shut off. Decided it was time to get this problem fixed. I thought I needed a new cable and estimated the cost would be around $60.00 to $80.00 with labor included. Called a few shops and Pep Boys told me to bring it over. I had no appointment so had to wait about an hour which was no problem being that I am retired. Tou,the service rep, looked under the hood, checked me in and quoted me a price that I found to be very reasonable. Long story short, the cable was good but was loose. Also they found that my valve stem was leaking air (tire kept going flat every 9 or so days).
When I was teenager I use to frequent Pep Boys a lot, but as the years passed and my rides got more technical, I forgot about Pep Boys. Well after the good service I recieved today, I will be using Bep Boys again. Most shops would have charged me for a cable or fitting at the least, along with labor (in other words, they would have gouged me, or sold me something that I didn't need).
I found Pep Boys on Blackstone to be professional and honest. My hat goes off to Tou and crew at this Pep Boys.

They are my favorite mechanics. What I like about them is, for one thing, I can sit in their waiting room; they don't make me go home, and they take care of me on the spot. They tell me how much it is going to be on the spot. They treat women with dignity and respect. They are a very established company, and they have been around since I was a kid. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I am totally happy with them. They set me up with an appointment, which was really unusual. They were friendly and they didn't want to get into my back pocket for money. They are an old company and they have been around for a very long time. I should have gone to them a very long time ago but it never occurred to me. I will go back without a doubt. The price was a really good deal.
