PC Work Shop

When we took the computer into the shop, we were told they couldn't do a cleaning without performing a diagnostic, for $80. The laptop was in the shop for almost a week before work began, despite being told they could start in one day. They couldn't find anything wrong with it in their "diagnostic" tests, and then ran a virus/malware scan and told us it would be an additional $129. Each day I was told it would be ready the next day, and I reiterated to them what the problem was, an overheating problem. They never did clean it, which is what I wanted. After 13 days in the shop, they pronounced it "fixed" and it came home. I started it up, and sure enough, it overheated and turned off, exactly as it did before I brought it in there. So two weeks and $150 later, I'm right where I started. They do have a guarantee, but really I don't think these guys have any skills or expertise to fix anything. I'm going elsewhere!
