After full payment, she came back with the design. But when we had more questions, strangely never heard back from her even after numerous text, phone calls and emails.

Mard is the landscape designer and we are working together and he is very knowledgeable and patient. Basically my wife do not know what we are doing. We just we want to redo the yard to be drought tolerant. Mark knows his plants and knows what we want. My wife and I cannot figure how we want it to look. So he is patiently waiting for us to decide. He has several good ideas my wife and I just can't decide.

Marietta takes time to determine what kind of landscaping is desired and walks the customer through the nursery to develop a list of preferred plants.  she provides landscaping diagrams and a list of care for each plant by month.

I found Marietta knowledgeable,personable and she answered all questions thoroughly. it is easy to contact her and always responds quickly.

Mariette Olsen is a wonderful person to work with. She was able to immediately understand my goals and that I needed a and quot;low maintenanceand quot; yard that was also lovely to look at. She is professional yet very easy to talk to, accessible, extremely knowledgable, honest and straight forward. I always looked forward to our next visit, either by phone or in person, as she was so down to earth and her involvement and interest was so genuine.
We went to the nursery after the plan was discussed and designed and she noted the plants I was interested in. It was there she was able to advise me as to whether or not the plant would work in my yard environment. She then came back to the yard to create the design with the plants and colors I liked.
I also worked with the contractor she recommended, Urbano Hernandez, owner of Magic Touch Landscaping. A review on his work is also available.
I would highly recommend Mariette and feel lucky that I was able to work with her, since my last few contacts with designers were disappointing. I hope to work with her again for future projects.

The project is still ongoing but we're happy with the results.

My husband had done his own design for our front yard landscape, but since he's never designed a landscape before (!) we wanted advice. Mariette came to our house twice (one hour each time), and she was wonderful. She made all the difference. First, she is a great listener. She had an excellent understanding of what we wanted to achieve, and what sort of help we wanted from her. Second, she is a great designer. She answered all our questions. There were a also couple "blank spots" in our yard, where we weren't sure what to plant. She gave different options for what she thought would look good, and we really loved her ideas. Her ideas really fit in with our overall goals for the yard. Third, she is a great helper. She came out on a second occasion, armed with a can of spray paint, to help us place our plants once they had been delivered and the landscape guys were there. Fourth, she is just a nice, pleasant, positive person to work with. The second time she was coming out, we had to coordinate that visit with a time when the landscape people (those who were doing the planting) were going to be there and be ready for her. Well, they had rescheduled with us two or three times, which means we had to keep rescheduling with her two or three times. I felt bad about that, but she was very professional and managed to make it out to our house on short notice on what was a busy day for her, even though we were a _very small_ consulting job, not a big client. Very professional and very nice of her! We're planning to bring her in to help us with our side yards, pool area, and back yard, as soon as we are ready to do something with those. It might be a while, but we wouldn't consider calling anyone else. She is great!

They handled the landscaping, sprinklers and drain pipe underground drainage.

Working with Mariette was a great experience from start to finish. She was easy and fun to work with. I really felt like she understood our needs/aspirations for the yard and was able to put our vision to paper. We especially appreciated her knowledge/experience with vegetable gardening/fruit trees as she pulled our plan together. We would highly recommend her as a landscape designer and will work with her again when we are ready and able to replace the miserable front yard that came with our house!

She came out 2 weeks ago. Her estimate was 70 dollars per hour. When she picks plants out with me in 2 weeks. She will be 70 dollars per hour. She gave a full estimate to my husband. I don't recall what this was. It was for concrete in the back yard and taking plants out in the back yard and picking out plants and plant shopping and landscaping. My husband really liked her. She was very knowledgeable. We have a lot of shade in the backyard. She was able to tell us why our plants were not doing well in the back yard. She educated us on that. She had a bachelor's degree in plants. That was cool.

She is really good and I would definitely recommend her! I am very satisfied with my backyard and I get several compliments on the landscaping.
