Overall, it was okay.  Repair date was scheduled several days out - guess they are busy. Repair man was on time.

You know you are dealing with an exceptional company by the way your telephone call is handled initially by the receptionist, to the dispatcher, and finally to the service technician. There is a common thread of communication and organization that I value, after all who has time to play multiple phone tags to have an item repaired? Our front loading was making some steadily increasing squealing noises. Jill, the service technician, was sent out and wasted no time in finding out the potential problem. She replaced the dryer sleeve, and also let us know that there would be a possibility that the bearings may need replacement, and should that occur, there would be no further service nor labor charges, only charges for any potential parts needed. Jill returned to replace the bearings (no additional service or labor charges were incurred, only a $50.00 part fee). I appreciated the fact that Jill took pride in her work, and was determined to fix our dryer to both our and her satisfaction. Would I call Paul's In Home Appliance Repair again? - absolutely!

Our 7-year-old refrigerator stopped cooling or freezing on Saturday night (after being loaded with monthly shopping, of course). We woke Sunday morning to find a large kitchen floor puddle. We got dry ice (wow-expensive!) and transferred as much contents as would fit in our ice chests until we could call on Monday. Monday we phoned a couple of places (all were too busy to come that day). Operators representing these companies showed typically unconcerned attitudes that project the message that I was interrupting or pestering them, rather than being a potential customer and the reason they take home a paycheck. In Home Appliance was friendly and sympathetic on the phone and even gave me a best-guess diagnosis, so I made an appointment for Tuesday afternoon. The operator said if there were any cancellations on Monday, she would call, but realistically not to be too hopeful. Half an hour before he was to arrive, the operator phoned to tell me the serviceman was on his way. He arrived on time and went to work immediately testing the suspect relay, retrieved the replacement part from his truck and replaced it. He said the replacement relay should outlast the original and also suggested replacing the plastic water line to the icemaker since it would eventually crack. He replaced it with a copper one. He reminded me that it would take a while for the the temperature to get low enough to safely transfer the food back from the ice chests. He was altogether helpful, efficient, and professional.

The person who came to my home was professional and worked quickly. However, when he left he forgot to turn the gas to my stove back on. This was an honest mistake but what flabbergasted me was that when I called (within ten minutes of his leaving) I was informed that I would have to wait to have my gas turned back on until they could "work me into the schedule". I was without the use of my stove and oven for three days while I'm sure he was enjoying hot meals at home. His repairs to my dryer did not solve the problem and they have not returned my call to finish the job.

THIS COMPANY WAS REFERRED TO ME BY VENTURA TV, THEY WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND DEPENDABLE, WHILE THEY WERE HERE, THEY FIXED THE ICEMAKER ON MY REFRIGERATOR AND DID NOT CHARGE ME EXTRA
