A representative of the firm told us that the work would be completed in about two weeks. It actually took almost four weeks. The person who replaced the shower worked slowly, taking a long time. When he said the work was finished, we could see flaws on the exterior surface. Then he corrected those. He should have seen those problems. Only time will tell whether the work beneath the surface was done successfully. Over all, the quality of work seemed satisfactory. The price for the work was not low, but it was competitive with the estimate by a highly rated company.

They were the first of 4 contractors to see the water damage caused by leaks in kitchen and bathroom faucets that caused water damage to the walls in an apartment I own.  The first two contractors were going to paint over the mold!  The 4th contractor would not bid the job until the damage had been removed and he could see what he was dealing with.  I got that 2nd bid after the damage was removed and his bid was 50% higher than the Home Improvements bid.  The work by Home Improvements was done well and problems (for example, a new ceiling fan and light that did not work properly) were taken care of quickly.
They are easy to work with and fair.
Right now, they are working on a second apartment that I own.  The plumber (different company) recommend fixing the problem (a root from a tree got into a drain line) by jack hammering through the shower pan.  The Home Improvement crew came in, figured out a way to get to the problem from the other side of the wall (back yard) and I was just told this morning that they fixed the problem, without having to destroy the shower pan.  Yahoo!  That approach saved me several thousand dollars.

Execellent. The bathroom turned out exactly the way we wanted it to. The den was done to permits.

My A/C went out on the hottest day of the year.  After several attempts to get someone out to fix it, I called my general contractor and he found someone to diagnose the problem and fix it.  It took the tech 20 minutes to find the problem that the previous two techs from one of the local A/C companies had not been able to find.
I have used Home Improvements since July of 2009 when I had them completely redo my half bath.  Since then they have repaired and painted the fence, painted the trim on the house, built a raised brick planter, taken care of any plumbing problems, installed ceiling fans, added drip irrigation to 4 raised beds and many other projects that are too numerous to list.
I know that when I call Michael Huxley at Home Improvements that things will be done in an efficient and timely manner.  I am 67 years old and retired.  If it weren't for all of the services that Home Improvements provides, my life would be a lot more complicated.

All the work went very well.  It took five days to complete and the guys were on time every day. I liked that both men, Mario and Glen, were very knowledgeable about what they were to do and how to do it.  The owner/contractor Michael Huxley also visited several times to make sure I was happy with the work and to check on what was done and if the men needed anything.

The only concern I had was in the pricing.  I was provided a written invoice with estimates for labor and materials. What I would have liked to receive at the end of the work is a detailed accounting of the materials costs.  I had provided the paint and that was not included in the materials, but I was curious about what the actual costs were of the other materials used.  I did ask just what the linoleum cost but was given an explanation that it actually ran over the estimate and everything equaled out.....I guess.  Being a widow on my own, I was too timid to push it.  I would recommend that others ask for the actual final cost of materials.  I think that is only fair.  As for the hours/labor, they earned every penny.  Glen and Mario were great at what they did, very polite, and very conscientious about cleaning up after themselves.  I would use them again.
