Ok, here's the real deal with this company. Decent work, granted. However, follow up is terrible. The length of time to get the job done was extended out further than discussed. And forget about call returns. I've been ghosted by this guy so many times I'm now resorting this to maybe help him change or in the very least improve on his communications. He seems to be more concerned about getting his fee than anything else. He told me a couple of months to begin and finish a job. Even after I had it prepared for him. 6 months later its finally done and after I had to start pestering him. Never again!!!!

They were very professional in all aspects of the work performed. They scheduled the work at my convenience, not theirs.
All work was performed promptly and the quality exceeded my expectations. Recommendations were made as the work progressed and they cleaned up each day when they were done working. The workers are friendly and courteous and were appreciative that we hired them to do the work.

His price was fair and he did a good job.

Danny Castro's crew of George and Victor did a great job. The tile work on the shower pan, walls, and tub surrounds were installed in a very professional manner. When I pointed out an inssue with the slope of the shower pan toward the drains they completely re-did it to our satisfaction with no questions asked. They worked until their work was complete for the day and cleaned up each night. They had to remove the adjacent jet tub to re-tile arround it and then reinstall it. This also was done in a very professional manner without any parts being damaged or needing repair. The work was completed on time,on budget, and without any major surprises/disruptions.
Costs of materials were passed through without any upcharge. Invoices were provided.
The only issue I encountered was with payment. I had planned to use my VISA card for the various partial payments to manage cash flow. I saw on Angies List that CVC accepted VISA but when I talked to Danny Castro he said they only accepted checks (of any kind) and didn't know how the acceptance of the VISA card got on Angies List. Danny was also very prompt to be at our house to get his check when the various costruction phases were completed.
Initially there were a few communication glitches as we tried to set up the job but in the end we are very happy with the finished product.

Danny and all the crew at Central Valley Construction have done an outstanding job remodeling our kitchen.
Their craftsmanship and professionalism are commendable.
We will use them in the future and have told our friends...

VERY SORRY

The work went well with one exception. When the workmen arrived as scheduled there was a question of the color of paint to be used. Their understanding was different from mine. Because of differences in language we had trouble communicating and I could not reach the office for clarification -- I had to leave a message on the office phone. That's why the grade for responsiveness is lower. The final result was satisfactory.

I am happy with the work. They did everything they said they would but I did have to remind them of a couple things. Would use again.

This company was referred to me and my husband after we had purchased our wood floors. I called the company and they set up a date quickly for an estimate. Eric showed up on time and was very professional. He was patient and answered my questions. He also made a few suggestions to save us money and time. The owner Danny called later on to verify the scope of the job and with a quote. The next two days he followed up with a written quote. We changed the scope of the job and Danny was flexible with us. A week later Eric and George showed up to do the work. These two are hard workers! They are very organized and thorough! They cleaned up after themselves daily. When a problem came up they explained the problem and had a solution. Danny stopped by to check out the progress daily and to make sure we were pleased with the work. While the were here we added on a two other minor jobs. Danny was flexible and had Eric and George complete the jobs. We truly enjoyed our experience with CVC and will use them again to install the rest of the wood floors at a later date!

Exceptional work!

I do not want to go near Central Valley Construction. Do not use them. Do not refer to your members. I was referred to them through Home Depot. They came in and measured wrong so now my cabinet on the floor is not level. It is delaying everything from the get go. When they did come they littered on my couch. They were not respectful of my home. When I told the boss about it he wanted to see the evidence and went through my trash. When I noticed the cabinet was uneven I notified Home Depot they contacted him and he came back out. He told Home Depot the problem was fixed and it was not, so I had to contact Home Depot again. They are the most unprofessional people I have ever seen and the most unfriendly. They have put holes in my walls that were freshly painted. They drew black marks on the wall. The list goes on and on.

The quality of service is good. He's late, but not three days late. He does any kind of work.

We went through LOWE'S because we are out of town owners. All went well except the first day, LOWE'S delivery truck broke down and the supplies could not be delivered that day,it had to be rescheduled for a later date. A few days later they were their and got the job done in a timley maner. They did a very nice job.

see above! Dad's outside whole-house Shutters finally arrived and we decided that we needed Dan and Central Valley Construction to install.

They called us back right away but were busy on a MAJOR kitchen and whole house wood/tile flooring remodel. As always, we agreed to be 'on-call' in case they could come by sooner than 10 days. As always, Dan called back and his guys had a break on that Friday. Wow - they also called 1/2 hour before they were to arrive to let us know they were on their way (as usual very professional).

The team quickly went to work, did the whole house exterior shutter install, cleaned up their work and loaded up all the shutter boxes and packing materials (as usual) and the work was outstanding!

Dad and I could afford to have all new shutters installed ALL the way around the home (even the rear of the home and the patio area) because Dan let us know when the Shutters were on SALE and his install price was very affordable - and best of all, the work was EXCELLENT! Wow - what a difference it made for the home's appearance - 'Curb Appeal'.

This company knows we have 'as we go' projects, and are still willing to work with us and give us quality work. We have other upcoming projects and stopped working with other companies.

ps...This is a 'hometown' professional Company of many years who has grown but has maintained their 'hometown' roots and values!
