For this re-roofing, one unresolved issue pertains to some cracks in one of the carport rafters. Even though a significant number of rafters were replaced due to dry rot, I don't fully understand how this one existing rafter was not replaced. In addition, final judgment of the job as a whole will depend on how well the new roof performs during the storm season. By being excessively flat, my fear is that the rain will create massive puddles on the roof that will seep into the house through the ceiling. On a positive note, the work was done expeditiously throughout a one-week period in late July. What made it difficult was the constant pounding of hammers, drills, and footsteps, creating the sensation of being in a bunker during heavy bombing. Even though massive sawdust leaked through the ceiling rafters (via cracks between the rafters and some knot holes), I understand that this was necessitated by the dry rot removal. I will commend Apex for being up to the challenge of replacing a roof consisting of asphalt and tar with one consisting of ply and dens deck. Whether it is resistant to water remains to be seen. For this reason, I would like to submit a follow-up when the storm season is well underway.

These guys did a great job. Were happy to come back out and answer questions I had about what was done. Made some additional repairs while they were onsite at no additional cost. I highly recommend Apex Roofing.

I was very pleased with the quality of the work done, and the price was fair ( I received a $200 discount for being an angie's list customer ). The crew of six guys showed up right on time, and ready to work. They did such a good job, that I recommended Apex roofing to my Dad, and a coworker. Apex removed a wood shingle roof from my dad's, and installed a new asphalt shingle roof, with attic insulation. My coworker had them do some roof repairs. He was very happy with the price and work done too.

The were here when they said they would be and provided me a written estimate via email that same day. A week later they where here to make the repairs. The work was guaranteed for one year. Unfortunately the roof still leaked when it rained. It is a flat roof and so I wasn't to surprised. I called and the returned a couple of days later the came, inspected the roof and did some additional repairs. When it rained, it leaked, I called, they came. This time they pulled up the flushing found a wet area and thought that was where the problem was. They took a picture to show me. The replaced the flushing and whatever they needed to do. Believe it or not the next time it rained the roof leaked in the same area. I called and they came. Keep in mind this is a flat roof that had been a patio and then made into an family room. They looked for the area that may be causing the leak. Alas they found a tiny hole that looked like a nail hole. Try took a picture to show me. They came the next day to do whatever it is they do and fixed the problem. The next time it rained no more leak.
The point to this long tail is they stood behind their work and where tenacious in fixing the problem. If I ever need any work on my roof I will certainly call them and hope they take the job.....

.I believe it only took 3 days from start to finish, maybe 4. The workers were fast, efficient, I've noticed other roofs in the neighborhood since have taken much longer to be installed. We've had ours 3 years and no problems. Very satisfied. We even had 7 estimates and I found Apex on Angies list- it was our last estimate and best price. Same material etc. Owner, Ricky, was honest and nice to work with.

To start there was a mixup on color of roof. Wrong color was delivered and stacked on roof. They promptly removed wrong product and delivered the correct color. After roof was installed I noticed there was a rattling in the wall every time the cold water was run. Ricky (the owner) promptly came out to check on the noise. Just like when you take your car to the mechanic, the symptoms failed to manifest. Ricky said next time it happens to give him a call and he would come back out. Sure enough noise returned and he came back out. The cause of the noise (rattling cold water pipe) was found and fixed in less than 20 minutes.

There were a few issues after the job was complete but they were taken care of promptly.
They also covered expense for a few window awning slates damaged during the job..
The workers were very polite and always on time...
