The irrigation system updates went okay.  The bark he put in the planting areas was really dirty.  It had all kinds of debris in it.  My biggest problem was Mr. Anderson's attitude.  He could be quite rude at times when he was questioned about what was going on.  I don't know if he would have treated a man the same way.  As to the monthly landscaping, the guys who came were pretty good and the price was reasonable ($100.00 per month) but it was really mow and go.  Everything would carry an extra charge - like putting grass seed on the lawn - would charge $100.00 which I think is pretty outrageous.  When I spoke to his office about cancelling the service, the guys showed up again the next week like usual so clearly, their office didn't inform them.

The end result is not good. As stated previously, Anderson seemed to be more concerned with his high-end customers and I was a bother. That's how I feel about the treatment I received from Bill Anderson. When prompted by Magdy to replace the dead sod, Anderson did it, but with different (cheaper?) materials. The sod Anderson's laid still has fungus and still has parts dying off and dead.

I have pictures of the patchwork job Anderson's did.
Response from Anderson Landscaping
"I disagree with [member name removed]'s opinion of my landscaping company. I did not think of her job as a low end project. Most of my business customers come from my $1,999 Landscape Special that I advertise in the Fresno Bee and on Y101 FM. What she doesn't understand is, during the month her job was scheduled, it is the busiest time of the year. There are several factors that could delay jobs from being completed on time. I have employees who I depend on getting jobs completed and if they call in sick to take care of their families or other personal business, can delay jobs. Also, my trucks, vans, trailers and other landscaping equipment can break down and need repair. Sometimes parts need to be ordered and this can sometime delay the job as well. It's impossible for me to give any customer an exact date that we can start, it's always an estimate and I always advise my customers of this. As far as the sod, I buy it from a sod farm, I do not grow it. It does not come with a fungus. Fungus is created by the conditions the sod is subjected to. My landscaping company did not create any fungus conditions in [member name removed]'s yard. I do not believe I should pay for any of the fungus treatment. After speaking with the owner of Central Valley Weed Control, who came out to evaluate the lawn, he stated that there was in fact fungus created by the yard conditions and it was treated for it. He also advised her that there were white grubs in the soil and eating the grass roots, causing damage to the lawn and advised [member name removed], who declined to treat it. As for the different type of sod used, this is also not true. The first sod was laid on May 7th, 2013 and it was over-seeded with perennial rye grass by the sod farm. Replacement sod was laid June 9, 2013 and was not over-seeded, so of course it looked different. When we went to replace the original sod, the condition of the yard was so soiled with dog urine and feces. My crew had to take multiple breaks as they were getting sick of the smell of the yard's stench. My offer to repair her yard is to over-seed and fertilize the back yard, but the yard must be cleaned up from all dog feces before we can do so."

Did a great job, timely. Very professional, I had complete confidence he and his crew knew what they were doing. Not some fly by night. Pleased with the job.

The price was too high for the work performed. I would never use their services again in the future.
