The guys they sent out were very prompt, courteous and professional. They were able to install a new cold water bypass pipe after a leak had been detected under the slab of our home with minimal damage to the walls. All that was needed was a few small holes cut in the wall that were easily patched afterwards. Overall, I was very pleased with the work that was done and wouldn't hesitate to hire them again.

This is actually the second time we have used American Leak. The first was about one year ago when we had a dark mystery carpet stain. American Leak found that pipes were sweating, not leaking. Suggested turning down the water heater and it worked. It was an easy fix.
This second time we had yet another mystery stain but this time it was damp to the touch. We didn't detect an odor. However, when the American Leak used there special photograph equipment, it was obvious our dog was the culprit. American Leak went ahead and checked for pipes under the area just in case. Another easy fix with carpet cleaners scheduled and keeping an eye on the dog.

American Leak Detection has my complete confidence. I had a water leak under the concrete foundation of my home on Christmas Eve 2010, which was during a weekend, and I was told by my insurance company that I had to hire someone to take care of the leak. Not being familiar with these types of companies, I was at a loss and unsure of which company to call. When I did contact American Leak Detection, they responded quickly, professionally, and candidly to my concerns and kept me informed of all work along the way. Their workers were courteous at all times and arrived at the appointed times. They determined that it would be less expensive to reroute that particular water line overhead in the attic rather than to dig it up, repair the break, and replace the cement because it was their experience that once this type of break begins to occur and repairs are made, other breaks on that water line will not be far behind the first. I have such high confidence in this company that I have their contact information on the front of all my home phone books. If ever another water leak occurs in my home, I won’t hesitate to contact them again.

They were okay. They did what they said that they were going to do. The person that I set the appointment with didn't let me know what condition the pool needed to be in. I had to call twice.

They are a great company. They came out, found the leak and gave me the option of fixing it myself and also gave me a quote to fix it. I ended up fixing it myself. I just couldn't find it so they located it in about 30 minutes. They dug down and found the leak and their estimate to fix it was more than my time was worth so I fixed it myself. They kept their appointment, did their job in very short order and they were very professional. I would use them again.

They did a really good job. They found the leak and fixed it up for a really good price. They had to go through the concrete to make the repair. I was happy with everything across the board, he was a really nice person.

We lost water pressure on a Sunday afternoon. After determining it was a broken pipe, we shut off the water and waited to call a plumber until Monday morning. After two other plumbers could not find the leak, our homeowners insurance contacted American Leak Detection for a consultation to locate the leak. Even though their initial diagnosis was wrong (the house is 83 years old and has had a variety of additions and repairs that made the diagnosis challenging, to say the least), their communication about each stage of discovery was impeccable. I had the cell phone of the onsite technician/plumber and he went above and beyond to insure my complete satisfaction and answer each question. The eventual diagnosis was a broken pipe below a 2nd buried pad that may have been original to the house, which is on a raised foundation. This pad had been framed, filled in with dirt and covered with another pad that was eventually the base for a 2nd bathroom and part of the kitchen. The destruction required to repair the broken pipe was astronomical, so we (and the insurance company, who was now willing to pay the entire bill) decided to re-plumb the cold water for the entire house. After waiting over a 2nd weekend for the results of the asbestos test (which was negative, another possibility in an old house), American Leak Detection cleared their calendar and had water restored to our home by 3 p.m. on a Wednesday. All in all, it took 3 plumbers, 1 insurance company, an asbestos test and 10 days. Having running water in our house...priceless. American Leak Detection did everything with compassion, communication and integrity. I would recommend them.

THEY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY WERE VERY COURTEOUS AND TIME EFFICIENT, THEY STAYED OUT OF THE WAY, AND GOT THE JOB DONE AHEAD OF SCHEDULE. THEY WERE ALSO A LOT CHEAPER THAN ANYTHING ELSE I FOUND.
