They were really good. They were prompt, they come when they said that the will came. They explained everything what I needed to do.

All Star Plumbing really lived up to its name!! On Monday we discovered a hot water leak under the concrete slab floor of our house. After looking around for plumbers who did under slab leak repairs we decided to call All Star from Fresno, CA to come look at it. They said they would come out Tuesday morning and advised us to turn off hot water valve at water heater until they arrived. They showed up Tuesday morning about 8:30. They confirmed the leak and gave us the repair options: 1) Find the approximate leak area, dig through concrete floor, find the leak and repair it. 2) Re-plumb the entire water system for the house. Option #1 seemed pretty messy, as the precise location for the leak was not known and they would have to do some amount of exploration. Opening the floor means the concrete floor and interior floor covering would have to be repaired, neither of which All Star would do themselves. However, they offered to help us find qualified people to do it. Option #2 seemed even more messy UNTIL they described how they accomplished this feat. They would run PEX (plastic) tubing through the attic and drop down through walls to faucets. This eliminated any floor demo and any openings required would only be in the drywall. Drywall is much more easily repaired than the concrete floor. A big concern of our was – what’s the probability of another leak under the slab. Our house is about 40 years old and the under slab plumbing is steel pipe which rusts. So, the probability of another leak is pretty high. The price given for option #2 was approximately 2 times that of #1 (not including the cost of repairing the floor for #1). It seemed to us #2, the water system re-plumb was our best long term bet. After checking their schedule, All Star said they could start the following Monday and the job would take 2-3 days. We asked how long our water would be off during the job. They said only a couple hours while they transferred the plumbing from the old piping to the new. Sure enough, they showed up bright and early Monday. By noon on Wednesday they were finished, cleaned up and gone! 2 ½ days to do the job. Pretty amazing and exactly what they estimated!! They were very prompt, their people were very knowledgeable and great to work with. They were tidy during work hours and cleaned up the job site every day. We will certainly use them for any plumbing need in the future. These guys are really great. We definitely give them All Stars!!
