It went very well and straight forward. No major surprises and he finished early and on budget. After getting several quotes, Oliver told me he would work with my budget and offered a few suggestions to save me money. Although the house was empty, I was not living there, this enable he to work quickly. He got all of his inspections approved by the city, he added a bedroom and bathroom. I later called him back for a kitchen remodel. He also changed my windows out. Since he is a licensed contractor, he knows the trade and knows how to complete the task very well.
But let me tell you what I really like about him. He is easy to work with, always happy, true to his work, ridiculously smart, efficient and kind. He stays on budget and on schedule. I have four rentals in the bay area and have dealt with many contractors over the years. Here are the facts: about 50% are dishonest, the other 50% you have to weed through to find a decent one. Oliver is a diamond in the rough. He deserves more good reviews but people are more quick to complain than compliment. I asked Oliver to put me on his list of recommendations. My name is Patricia and I have a rental home in Fremont. I strongly recommend Oliver and Son Construction. BTW, he lives in Fremont is and is on the job early!!

Oliver recommended an architect to draw up the expansion plans. Once the plans were approved by the city, he started work the next day. Within a week the foundation was poured and passed inspection from the city. The walls, roof, electrical, plumbing all went in on time and passed inspection. I had the entire back of my home expanded. It went so well and easy, I would definiately use him again. Working with Oliver & Son was great because of his professionalism, on time with commitments, on budget and was honest with me. There were no surprises and he completed the work on budget.
He is licensed and insured. I checked both before the began work. I rarely write reviews, but this particular experience was so good I wanted to share.
