DANIEL AND HIS FATHER DID A FANTASTIC JOB! HAVING ONE CONTRACTOR ABLE TO DO THE ELECTRICAL WORK AND CROWN MOLDING WORK AND DRYWALL WORK AND PAINTING WORK SAVED ME TIME AND MONEY.

Daniel showed up when he said he would, cleaned up each night before he left. Daniel was able to make adjustments as we progressed through the kitchen renovation.  He worked with us and gave us his opinion and then let us make the decision to implement new designs. Absolute no pressure he wanted us to make our own mind up about changes etc,
Honest and fairly priced for work done.  We reviewed each step of renovation as well as cost as we moved forward.

Pete Pena our cabinet maker referred SM Construction.  We were impressed by Daniel and hoped that his performance would match his claims.  We were thrilled that Daniel and his dad EXCEEDED OUR EXPECTATIONS.  Before the job starts you know who will be doing the work since Daniel and his dad are a two man company.  Dealing with the owner is a real plus.  We didn't have to worry about  which crew would do the job and wonder about their dedication and capabilities.
They are easy to work with and patiently answered all our questions.  With their variety of skills, we would highly recommend them for plumbing, electrical or any other work around the house.
We will soon be calling Daniel to replace a vanity in another bathroom. 

We liked Daniel and his dad. They seemed straightforward and simple and gave us a good feeling. Their bid was detailed and had the second lowest price of all. We went with them
They started the work right away. They were detail oriented and it looked like they were doing it right without cutting corners. They quickly informed us of what was required and by when and we compiled with their requests. The end product is well-done and the job looks very professional. On the whole, we have no complaints over the quality of work. It is top-notch.
There were some things we did not like
They rushed at the end because Daniel was gone after the first few days. Since his dad was setting the tiles by himself, he may have gotten behind. Then Daniel came back and basically rushed through the master bathroom. That was when the mistakes were made. They filtered many of the bad tiles but still installed a few in the master bedroom and the closets. We asked him to change five bad tiles because they were clustered right in the middle of the bathroom. He just redid two of them and said the pattern was broken. I would have liked for him to replace the five in the middle of the bathroom. We did not ask for the bad ones in the closet to be redone. Ideally I would have liked Daniel to inform us that the tiles were bad and if we wanted to go ahead with them. instead he just went ahead, maybe because he needed to finish.
Also, We asked them to put the covers to electrical outlets in the kitchen and it resulted in a scratch right on the newly installed island and we could not do anything about it. They are obviously small mistakes but when you are committing a large sum of money, they look really big, especially when they are visible and are right in the middle of the room in the most exposed places.
However, what I absolutely did not like is that they were not very good about cleaning up after themselves. Since it was a empty house, they had their tools and materials lying everywhere. I was ok about that. However, when they finished they did not take those empty boxes and older discarded materials and left them for us in the garage and in the middle of the rooms that they worked in. They just took away their stuff and left. Ideally, they should have cleaned up after themselves and taken away the waste that resulted from replacing fixtures and tiles. We had to pay someone else to do that. Daniel asked for additional money if we wanted him to dispose the waste because it would cost him the same. I jsut wish I knew that he would not handle the waste. We could have negotiated it in. Leaving it there for us at the end was not the right way to do this.
However, at the end I would recommend Daniel and his dad to anyone. Their quality of work is excellent. However, please negotiate the charges for cleaning up and disposal. If his bid does not include it, it would be wise to have this conversation up front. Additionally, for every little thing that is beyond the contract, he will charge money, so please negotiate the initial bid with majority of the work already included. If he is reading this review, I hope that he incorporates these comments as constructive criticism. If he is not, I hope that the next homeowner will benefit from our experiences.

He was wonderful. He came out when he said he was going to, he pretty much dropped everything to come and finish my project. He was reasonably priced. Punctual.

Daniel and his Dad are AWESOME, even my dog fell in love with them!  They are kind, caring, and a pleasure to have in your home.  We hired them because they provide turnkey service from start to finish (with the exception of the cabinets and Silestone counter tops).  They have only your project going at one time and work long hard days and Saturday (if needed) to meet the projected time-line they quote you at the beginning of the project.
They completely gutted and remodeled our master and guest bathrooms and everyting turned out great.  Additionally, after the project was completed we had a few mal-functions from products that were defective like an electrical switch and having to adjust a light fixture after the cabinet guy completed his part of the project.  One call to Daniel and he and his Dad come out very quickly and cheerfully to resolve the problem.
Tips:  Be sure to order your products at least on month in advance of the project start date:  i.e. lighting fixtures, faucets, towel bars etc. because times have changed!  Items take longer to get, are on back-order, and come in defective or wrong and you need time to reorder.   Additionally, be sure and open boxes right away to check the products status.  These problems cause Daniel and his Dad delays and extend your lead-time.

Recently, I hired S M Construction are to install the flooring trim on our new living room and entry floor . Daniel Mulalic and his assistant were very professional and did an excellent job, I would recommend this company to anyone who needs floor trim or any other work that they perform, because of their professional work, reasonable cost, and eye for detail.

This is the second job that Daniel has done for us and like the first, everything was done right, on time, and at a reasonable cost.  I highly recommend him for any construction related work.

These guys are incredible A+++!  Daniel and his father do all of the work and they both are extremely good at a wide variety of construction tasks.  They were able to do the work several days before the original schedule that we had agreed to, which was great from my perspective of getting the work done as soon as possible.  They were very efficient and completed all of the work in three days, one day faster than they thought it would take.  They always arrived on time, cleaned up at the end of their work day, and overall just were a great company to work with for our bathroom remodeling project.  Finally, the cost of the work was very reasonable.  Most companies I called did not want to do the work since it was a relatively small job or they provided bids that were much more expensive.
Bottom line....I definitely would have them do any future work that we need done on our house.  There is not one negative or improvement on the work they performed that I can think of that they could have done better.  I do not believe you are going to find a more efficient and proficient company and it is all done at a great price. 
To the rest of the construction/remodeling companies...look out!, these guys are going to get a lot of business in the future.

Daniel and his father Smajil (quite the crew) painted and trimmed the living room and kitchen and painted the front door.
They installed 2 fan/lights and a new tracklight and had to re-locate 2 of them.
The work was completed in just over three days and they were prompt, dilegent in their work and focused.
The were especially helpful in explaining the process of the job.
We were very satisfied with the quality and craftsmanship of the work.
When the time comes, we will certainly use SM Construction again.

The job was done in a very reasonable amount of time.  Extra care was given to seal off the work areato insure that any of the debris coming out of the attic didn't get into any other part of the house.  We noticed the improvement in the temperature of the house the following day.  Money well spent!We are planning on having SM Construction back for more improvements.

The experience was perfect, he is a very nice young man. They are very knowledgeable.

I would hire him to do any work he could do for me.

We were referred to Daniel at SM Construction by our cabinet maker Pete Pena.  Pete was building a new vanity for our guest bathroom, and it required re-routing the plumbing from one wall to another.  Daniel and his dad came by after receiving my call andmade several helpful suggestions on how the plumbing could be changed.  He quoted the job including new granite top, installing the new vanity, with a new sink and faucet.  Also included modifying the floor tile, installing 4 new recessed LED ceiling lights, custom tile work for the backsplash, and repainting the bathroom.  A new ceiling speaker was installed in the kitchen.  His quote fit our budget and we gave him the job.  Daniel and his father were always on time, very professional workmanship, and very nice to work with.  The project turned out even better than we envisioned it.  We are planning on having SM Construction replace our ceiling insulation in the near future.  
Highly recommended.

After contacting SM Construction,   Daniel and his father  came to our house.  They discussed with us what we wanted done, and how we wanted the fireplace to look.  They discussed with us the pros and cons of the various types of tiles that could be used for this project and we all agreed on granite. Daniel even went tile shopping with us.  He is VERY knowledgeable about ALL the different types of tiles, and knows which ones are good, which ones are not.  We welcomed all his valuable input and his design ideas.

The work started on the date promised, and they were busy removing old bricks, mortaring the remaining frame and preparing the area for the new tiles to be placed. Let me just say one thing...Daniel and his father are perfectionists.  Before placing any of the new tiles, they set all the tiles out, to see which ones would look best next to each other, and in what position, etc.  EVERY edge was meticulously cut to the proper angle and sanded smooth (even the edges that would later be covered by a mantle).  Nothing short of a perfect fit met their personal standards.  My husband and I could not have been more pleased with the job Daniel and his father Smil did.  We couldn't have been happier with their  professionalism during this job.   They even fixed a loose floor tile in one of our bathrooms! They are both very pleasant and nice to talk to.  You will not be disappointed if you have them do work for you!

It was noisy and dirty - the dust flew all over the house. But the end result is gorgeous. The room looks larger and is much more appropriate for my 6' son who will probably live with us forever. We put in new fixtures in the shower, Grohe was ordered and Daniel and Smil installed a fixed shower head and a hand held shower head.I always wanted the ability to change the amount of water as well as the temperature so we had to buy separate valves. We put river rocks on the shower floor (supposed to be like reflexology) and I now have to get a frameless shower door.

My story is not over.  Daniel & Smil are going to redo my son's bathroom and fix my mother's marble mess in her bathroom ( her contractor did not use the proper grout and she has holes in the shower floor). They are going to see about replacing our garage doors and I would trust them to work in the house with no one around.

I couldnt be more happy. There was no unexpected problems or hidden costs
