Fountain Valley Tire & Auto

Only started to use them for work but seem to be helpful and professional.  The monitor check (done 3X - free)  was especially important.  Roy was especially helpful although owner, Paul, also seemed to wanna help.  Not sure if prices for work done are fair but car needed work and it was done properly I think.

I called FV Tire and Auto and spoke with Paul. I told him I was at the car dealer service dept taking care of a safety recall and I needed some tires. I knew the dealer could do the work, but the price seemed a little high.  He asked me how I used my car, did I take long trips, etc. He spent plenty of time on the phone answering questions, checking prices and availabilty of different brands.  He told me I could go with Continental Tire which is what the dealer was suggesting or I could try Toyo Tires. By the time we had discussed several options, I felt good about going with Toyo A/S (all season) for how I use my car. He gave me a price of $484 (out the door). He told me he would call me as soon as the tires came in and he did. I went down there. Unfortunately, when I got there they told me it was going to take a while (about 2 hours) because it was late afternoon. I told the person at the front desk that I would come by tomorrow first thing in the morning. I did come by the next day at 8:30 am approximately. They told me they would have it done in about an hour or so. It was done in the time they stated plus the price charged ($484) was exactly what they stated-tires, labor, taxes..everything. They were very professional over the phone and at the front desk...Excellent job!!

Owner and technician, Roy, made things very clear to me, a woman, who often feels vulnerable to price and work abuse.  There was none of that.  They were very fairly priced and did the work promptly, with a ride home (mileage within reason, of course) but I was thankful as I would have had to wait for work to be finished.  These men are tire experts, too,   I think anyone needing auto work done (and/or tires) will find them a great outfit.  I intend to use their services for any further work needed on my car and to replace tires, as needed. They are kind of tucked away on Ward St. near Talbert but had no problem finding them.

Fountain Valley Tire Pros are about the most competitive priced for anything related to your automobile. And they know what works, what is good, and what is crap. They don't sell crappy items, unless that's what the customer really wants. The owner Paul is a wealth of knowledge and his team is treated like family. Together they make one of the better business for auto related service and parts here in Orange County.

Paul the owner is just a plain nice guy, he did not try to oversell me on tires or any further work on my car. When I got my car back he said that it was in top shape. A few days later I received a call from them, they had over charged me $8.00. They were very apologetic, would have the cash for my at the front desk. I will continue to have my vehicles serviced at Fountain Valley Tires. Nice to do business in the town I live, and get SERVICE with a smile!
