Enkay was very responsive when I first contacted them and when setting up an appointment to have the work done, although the local air quality division requires a mandatory 14 day wait until work can begin. The work was done in one full day and the workers were pleasant and professional. Some paint was peeled off where the plastic barriers were taped up, but this was such a minor thing in order to prevent asbestos particles from getting into the air in the rest of the house. They took the air quality reading and sent it to a lab for me, which was great. I only wish the certificate of completion of the job would have come sooner than it did (about a week after the job was performed), so that I could get the hardwood floors put in sooner. But this was just a minor issue. Overall, I was very satisfied.

Job was completed in 3 hours.
Single Workman came on time, sealed the attic entrance area and conducted the removal of the ducts. Air in the attic area was wetted down to get dust to settle.

Not so pleased with the after sales service. They did not respond to my request for a copy of the paid invoice despite repeated calls and emails.

The service was good and they were timely. There were no add ons, they gave me a price and showed up on time. They covered everything with plastic and left the site clean. There were no complications at all and I will use them again in the future.

They did an excellent job! I don't think they could have improved. I was amazed at how neatly they were able to clean up the asbestos. They put in a positive pressure system to keep asbestos out of the house as they were in the attic. They were able to gather up all of the ducting, remove all of the asbestos liner of the ducting, bag it, and get it out of the house in a matter of a couple of hours. They were very efficient. Everything was perfectly professional. If I would have done that job, I would have charged twice as much. My wife came home in the middle of everything. She felt they might have been able to do a better job of screening off the attic with plastic sheeting. It was a minor issues and because they were pulling positive pressure, I thought that what they were doing was more than adequate.

We were very impressed with the company. The President, Chuck Baur, performed the estimate. He was very thorough in describing the procedure, and answered all of our questions to our satisfaction. The written estimate spelled out exactly what would be done and how. He estimated that the job would be completed in 2 days, but they completed their work in only 1 day. We had been warned that the ceilings may be gouged as part of the removal process, but the ceilings had very little damage, and just required plastering and painting on our part. (Enkay does not do the plastering and painting).
