It was wonderful. The steps are just beautiful and really sturdy. We were really happy with him. We thought there were only a few steps, but he found a few others that needed to be replaced as well making our deck safe again.

Everything went as expected - and more. Rich spotted and repaired a mis-plumbed hose from the dishwasher to the disposal for draining - saved me $$$ if it had malfunctioned - now that's service.

Installation went well, very happy with the new door, however, Rich was supposed to come back to paint the door and has not done so. He cancelled my appointment for July 28th and has not returned my 3 calls to reschedule. I have already paid for the paint and would like the job finished.

After six months of back and forth with electricians getting quotes, Richard came in, assessed the situation and in 45 minutes had the dishwasher up and running -- and at a very fair price. In addition, he explained how the dishwasher worked as well. He also hauled the old one away. In addition, I have asked him to come back and do additional work because I was happy with his professionalism.

Rich and John are a great team. They work efficiently---and hardly need to speak! Rich says yes to about every job I need done, or gives me a good referral. When I'm back to renting again, I will definitely let the landlord know about THI&RC. Thanks for everything you've done for me over the past 12 years, guys.

He was knowledgeable and very efficient - knew right away what was wrong and explained it to me. He was quick with the necessary shopping for a new fixture and quick to install it. He was also generous with his time and very pleasant. I was delighted with his service.

It went great.  Rich replaced our bathroom vanity, toilet, added bathroom fixtures and accessories including a medicine chest, did electrical and other plumbing work and hung 2 screen doors.  He also painted the bathroom.  I picked out the items at Home Depot and paid for them and Rich picked everything up and did all the hard work. He was efficient, creative, reasonable and the quality was second to none.  I've already recommended him to a good friend of mine and will use him again for future projects. If you don't go with Rich, you are missing out on quality and value.  Plus, he's just a nice guy.
 

I could not have asked for better service or workmanship! 

 He arrived on time, got right to work on the list I had provided, he checked out with me as he moved along the list. Took about 30 minutes to go to Home Depot and get material needed, came back and went right to work. What I really appreciated was his ability to look at my list, and  evaluate the problem and determine if something needed to be  replaced or an adjustment, saving me money.

I have another appointment with him on January 8th and another list.

I would refer him to anyone. Thanks to Angie's list for having this service, and to Rich for his good work.

Rich always accepts and follows through on a challenge! Today he conquered one hardware problem after another, and my kitchen has never been brighter.

Rich is very professional and helpful. Ordered proper replacement hinges for Thermador oven door and replaced them. Also fixed a leaking water faucet.

Very well. Richard and his assistant, John, were very professional, courteous, competent and punctual.

Rich and his helper did a great job, appreciated their punctuality, courteous, clean and fast. He responding within a day after calling, understood the job and told me exactly what I needed to purchase and what they will provide. I would definitely try Home Improvement and Repair again for other jobs around my mother's house.

We have been looking for a handyman for several years. Most that we called either didn't show up, didn't return phone calls, or didn't want small jobs. We called Rich and explained a problem that we thought could be serious but which could also be simple. He identified the probably problem over the phone (the simple one) and scheduled time to take a look. He was responsive, on time, came with a helper, and was very knowledgeable. We have a fair amount of knowledge too so it was apparent that he knew what he was talking about. He has a contractor's license so he can do most any kind of repair job and we are planning to use him for some larger projects coming up. We are very, very pleased with Rich.
