Good price. Good quality. Very reasonable on cost of unexpected extra costs (dry rot repair, etc.).

Ray from Merit Roofing was great to work with. He thoroughly explained everything and there were no surprises in the end. He indicated that our roof may require reinforcement to support a standard weight concrete tile but that there would also be savings associated with using standard vs lightweight concrete tile. Based on an inspection by a roofing engineer reinforcement was required but the engineer also indicated that the roof wasn't built to code when it was constructed in 1991. So once they brought it up to code it would support standard weight tile. Ray also used plenty of vents and nice finishing touches on the roof such as elevated battens and hip starters. I also had him add gutter guards at a cost of $2 per lineal foot. We have a large steep pitched roof which required 58 squares. Overall I was pleased with the work of Merit Roofing and I would highly recommend you contact a number of roofers but make sure you include Ray Holsey from Merit Roofing.
