OMG. do not let these people install anything in your home! they do not stand behind the product they sell or their installations..Once you've paid, you are on your own,  They installed tile around my fireplace and some of it has fallen off. Ive had several contractors look at it and tell me it was improperly installed.  I called Lowes and they said it wasn't their problem! It may cost a few dollars more to hire a legitimate contractor but it will be well with it!!

After taking this bulky item home and unpacking it, I found that the product had a defective component.
While Lowe's arranged to provide replacement hardware for the component at no
charge to me, Lowe's refused to provide labor to install the component
or compensate my contractor for the labor involved (I asked for $70, which is what my contractor charged
me) in replacing the component (the replacement is beyond my abilities).
I have to say that I was very disappointed at having paid full price for a defective
product, then having to pay even more money out of pocket to have the
defect fixed.

I'm a Home Depot customer now. Lowe's saved a few dollars on this
incident, and lost hundreds in future business from my friends and me
due to poor product quality and poor customer service.

With them, I didn't like the idea that they had a $35 charge. That was my first one, so I was thinking okay that's going to be the normal thing. Then when I had the second guy come out, he didn't charge me anything for it was a free estimate. I wondered: why in the world did Lowe's charge $35 for an estimate for flooring? That doesn't make sense." But needless to say, they did. So I didn't like that aspect of it. I haven't worked with Lowe's yet, so I don't know if they're on time, whether their people are professional or what the deal might be. I had to kind of stop my project due to due to health and things going on there. So I've got to pick it back up once I get better but I didn't particularly like Lowe's. They want to charge you for an estimate. That didn't make a lot of sense to me. When they came out and gave me an estimate, they were very nice and professional. I can't complain at all about their promptness, courtesy, and the whole nine yards. They were all that. The only thing I didn't like was their charging for an estimate. The estimate was between $5000 and $6000. That's trying to get everything done at one time. I decided I did not have to get everything that I want done at one time. Because, being retired I didn't want to put out that kind of money right now all at one time. So I will be dividing it up but I definitely want to get my flooring done first including the carpet and everything that's in the house. I believe was the original carpet since the house was built, which was in '89. So I want to redo basically everything. I want to still get at least two more estimates and then health issues came up, so I had to put everything on hold. The guy was very professional. He was very nice, friendly, courteous, the whole nine yards as far as that goes. But right now, because of things that came up, I had to put everything on hold. But I do want to get at least two more estimates before I decide on which one I want to go with.

We had a wonderful experience with Lowe's in Folsom for our porcelain tile installation. Ww checked with several different shops and it ended up being the cheapest as well (not necessarily what we were looking for). We bought some tile that was about $5.50 a square foot and it had to be special ordered, but they kept us appraised of the progress and when they got it, we got a call immediately from the sub-contractor, CB Tile, I believe, who set up a time for installation, and in three days, installed the tile in our kitchen, nook, and different tile in our bathroom and laundry room, and they were nice enough to put in a new toilet we bought as part of the installation. The people at Lowe's gave us some other money savings tips such as buying anything we wanted from the store right when we were paying for the service because we wouldn't have to pay taxes (contractor purchase). Ask for CB Tile if you are getting service from Lowes for tile - did a phenomenal job and were professional and efficient.

We did all the work ourselves, but when we did install it, we had them install it, because it came with a warranty of a year for the workmanship. We were really happy with that. We were going with both Lowes and another company, the customer service was so much better at Lowes. Even though they were a little bit more expensive, the fact that they got back to us and remembered who we were was the reason that we decided to go with Lowes. We had a hard time with their responsiveness. We got the right person and that person was gone, and nobody knew what we were talking about. Once we got all that taken care of, it was definitely a good experience.

The building needed more work than we expected, but each time we went to Lowes people were available to provide information.

I went to the Elk Grove Lowe's to look for vinyl flooring. I was charged a $25 deposit on each of the three flooring samples I wanted to take home to consider. With no warning or instruction, Lowe's immediately cashed my $75 ''deposit'' and then made me wait 15 days to refund my money. When I complained to one of the store managers, they had no idea why I was upset and made no attempt to understand my point. And they charge a $45 non-refundable fee for an installer to come out and give an estimate.

THEY SHOWED UP ON TIME AND WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL WORKERS. THE PRICE WAS TOTALLY REASONABLE. THEY WERE VERY EFFICIENT AND FRIENDLY. THEY DID A GOOD JOB CLEANING UP THEIR MESS.

IT TOOK THEM A VERY LONG TIME TO DO THE WORK. THEY WERE VERY MESSY. I DIDN'T THINK THAT THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AT ALL. THERE ARE EVEN A FEW BUMPS IN THE COUNTER TOP ITSELF.

I AM NOT SATISFIED WITH THE WORK THAT THEY DID. THEY WERE MORE WORRIED ABOUT GETTING EVERYTHING DONE QUICKLY THAT HOW IT WOULD TURN OUT. I THINK THAT THEY PRICE WAS WAY TOO HIGH FOR THE WORK THAT THEY DID.

THIS COMPANY WAS VERY WELL EXPERIENCED. THEY REALLY KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK WAS GREAT. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO OTHER PEOPLE.

THEIR PRICES ARE VERY COMPETITIVE AND THE QUALITY OF THEIR WORK IS FANTASTIC. I CALLED CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND FRIENDLY. THEY RESPONDED TO MY CALL QUICKLY AND CAME OUT AND GOT THE JOB DONE.

THEY WERE VERY GOOD AND VERY HELPFUL. THEY WENT OUT OF THEIR WAY TO MAKE THIS AS PAINLESS OF AN EXPERIENCE AS POSSIBLE. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DEPENDABLE.

I LIKE LOWE'S. I LIKE THEM A LOT. I THOUGHT THEIR PRICE WAS AVERAGE. THEY CAME WHEN SCHEDULED AND PUT THE CARPET IN QUICKLY. I DIDN'T HAVE ANY PROBLEMS WITH LOWE'S. I SHOP THERE A LOT.

THEY WERE HARD TO GET TO MY HOME AFTER I DECIDED TO USE THEIR SERVICES. THEY DID NOT KEEP SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS VERY WELL AFTER THAT. THEY DID COMPLETE THE JOB.

WHEN THEY BROUGHT THE DOOR IT WAS BROKEN. THEY DISREGARDED MY COMPLAINTS AND DID NOTHING. IT HAS BEEN EIGHT MONTHS AND I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY COMPENSATION.

THEY WERE VERY INFORMATIVE WITH ALL MY CARPET NEEDS AND CARES. THEY ALSO HELPED ME LOOK INTO INFORMATION FOR OTHER FLOORING OPTIONS SUCH AS HEATED WOOD FLOORS.

THEY WERE TIMELY AND GOT ALL THE DRYWALL TO THE NEW HOME SITE ON THE SAME DAY. THEY STACKED IT PROPERLY AND MADE SURE IT WAS WHAT WAS ORDERED AND WANTED. THEY WERE VERY NICE ABOUT NOT GETTING THE INSTALLATION.

I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE SELECTION AND THE PRICE. I APPRECIATE THE FACT THAT LOWES HAS VERY WIDE ISLES AND THE CHECKOUT IS MUCH QUICKER THAN THE OTHER BIG COMPETITOR.
