Hackett Construction

, Patrick Hackett came by, was very enthusiastic about the job we wanted done. He seemed friendly and experienced. We wanted the patio roof repaired and new skylights etc. He wanted to start right away so he came back for approx. 1 hr. Brought tools tore a few shingles off and that was about it. It was getting dusk so he said they'd be back in the morning. He asked if he could have the money up front for materials. So we gave him half of what the price of the job was. $1100.00. The job total was $2200.00. He left and didn't show up or call , or answer his phone. This went on for approx. 3 days. He finally called, said he was out front and wanted to do the job. We just didn't want to get in any deeper seeing how undependable and unreliable he was. We were able to get back $300.00 of the $1100.00 we gave up front. He picked up his ladder etc. and apologized  for our inconvenience and that was that. AN experience we don't hope to not go through again anytime soon..

He did a wonderful job. Everything he did was perfection. He does his best to please you.

I thought he was very thorough in his work. He did everything that he promised to do except for two small things. I'll be calling him back to do that work. He did a good job. He works by himself. He seems to be very experienced at all different kinds of jobs. He is very friendly. The only problem is that he seemed to take advantage of the fact that I'm older, and he tried to do more work than was absolutely necessary. His work was good. It was hard for me to tell how much of the cost was his time and how much was the materials.
