Bruce did a great job.  He explained how it all worked while he was at it.  He replaced the crank and crank handle as well as the fabric.  Wide selection of fabric.

We found Awning Pros at the Alameda County Home show. We we looking for a heavy duty secure screen replacement, and wanted high quality cut resistant and cat resistant screening that locked securely with a real lock (not a flimsy lever). We found exactly what we were looking for.,with a show discount. We made a deposit, and scheduled an appointment for measuring. There was to be a charge up front (at time of measuring) because it was a custom order (entirely reasonable request) to be paid to the person doing the measurement. So far, so good - they were very accommodating of our weird schedules, and were OK with coming when we weren't home (outside measurement, no access issues). Immediately after we got back home I received a call from the sales person' who said she had made a calculation error and subtracted the show discount incorrectly. The total was going to be slightly more. Not a problem' the price was reasonable, already in line with expectations, error was obviously inadvertent and they were falling all over themselves apologizing
Fast forward to install day. Bruce had made the appointment, and he kept me posted throughout the day as to his progress on other jobs and expected arrival time. Since we were the last install I anticipated that it would be late, they were not only accommodating my weird schedule, they were working on the weekend during the holidays. As it turned out, Bruce worked way past dark after putting in a full day elsewhere. There was a problem because the door was constructed as a left to right slider and the screen was manufactured for right to left (configuration not noticed by the person doing the measuring - he was only looking at dimensions). The new screen functioned properly but there was a gap when it was opened, at the outside edge of the door. Bruce pointed this out, explained the problem and what would be needed to fix it. He would order a part and return to install it. This was OK with me, the screen worked and the only issue might be bugs, but not this time of year ! I had a check ready for the final payment, but Bruce refused it, said he would finish the job first. A couple of weekends later he's back. The "fix" that I thought was going to be simple took several more hours as he had to take off the entire installation,insert ,a gasket strip' then reinstall.. But I now have a great screen.

I could not be more impressed with this company. The product is fine, but the service and attention to detail were exceptional. Bruce does beautiful, meticulous work,, and really goes out of his way to be sure the job is done right. I would use this company again in a heartbeat for anything in their product line. Thank you for your work.

The entire experience went very well. Bruce was prompt, informative and helpful. He allowed that the existing frame was still in good working order, (which I was glad to hear!), but he also explained that there were some areas that needed to be corrected such as how the fabric roll had been incorrectly put on which caused the roll to be difficult to roll back in which had to be done manually. He answered all of my questions and when he completed installing the new fabric he made any other needed adjustments to balance the frame and arms. We did include a remote motor which we are already enjoying. All in all, we were very happy with Bruce and Awning Pro's and we love our great new awning.

Bruce was professional, punctual, well mannered and friendly. I can recommend him to anyone looking for this kind of service.

Bruce did a great job with the installation. He did a very neat job, which was important because the door was on a deck and the only way to get to the deck is through the house and on carpeted floors. The work was done on time and the door is great! I will use the company again in future projects.

Very professional for a challenging project. Due to estimated costs and practicality, project was never realized.

Bruce and Wayne made easy work of it. They improved on the provided hardware and refined the load distribution, with focus on the shoulder locations of the retraction arms. They hauled away the enormous 13' tube packaging these items came in. They were punctual, professional, and happily educational in describing the advantages of the anchoring hardware and methods they were recommending. It was plain to see, these guys have a lot of experience and engineering know-how. I highly recommend!

Bruce Palmer is a true awning wizard.  If you need any repair or help with your fabric retractable or fixed awning.  Call him and you will not be disappointed.  We called him to replace four defective arms on a big retractable awning that we had purchased from a different dealer.  Bruce took on the job at a very fair price (he charged us less than the estimate that he quoted on the phone).  In addition to fixing the arms, Bruce made a few adjustments to the awning without any charge to us.  He is a true professional who takes pride in his work.

They were extremely friendly and did a good custom install on the sunscreen. It works great and we are very pleased with it. On the security door he had to do some trimming around the frame to fit and it looks wonderful. It looks like it fits just perfect. We are really pleased with both outcomes and would recommend them to anyone.

Bruce came out in a timely manner, kept me apprised of the timeframe, and delivered.

I dealt with Ryan from start to finish. He arrived on time, from what I can remember, and we went over all the options. He seemed responsive and knowledgeable. I was very pleased with the front screen. It looked great and I believe it came in pretty much on time. The problem was regarding a small cat door that he installed in a screen door on another door for a cost of approximately $85.00. He needed to re-screen the door to make the cat door fit. None of my three cats-even after 2 weeks-were able to get out the door-it was too heavy. I left messages on Ryan's phone three or four times and never got a call back. I was hoping that he might be able to adjust the cat door so that it could be used. So, all things being equal, I am back where I started. It really wouldn't have mattered so much to me how things ended; I just wanted a call back to discuss it, to see if we could work something out.

After a few day's my wife called and was told there were some issues with the fabricators. Mind you this is not a normal security door, it's a security screen door. Custom built top tier. Well I started to think they were whittling this darn thing out of a piece of wheat, so I called. They got the door that same day, and then installed it the day after. Looks beautiful. I leave the door open all day, nice flow-thru air throughout the day. And with the piece of mind that nobody can get through my security, see through, screen door. One last thing, because of a 10 day delay, they knocked 300.00 off the bill. Great.

They came right out gave us a free est. On time, then we had to wait about a month, I guess they had to whittle our door out of a piece of wheat. But wait, turns out this was a new item for them, custom size color etc. And they did let us know of these issues.They were apologizing profusely, to us, Bruce the owner himself. I'm a contractor myself, impressed, I was. Here's the topper, he deducted 300.00 dollars. From The 1000.00 cost, parts and labor. That's one stand up business in my book. Top shelf! The two workers were greatest to, polite neat no smoking, I really liked that. Overall a great experience, They also do retractable automatic awnings for cooling shade, I'll be looking into that, it's much less $$$$ and it retracts in the winter. Unlike an expensive patio cover.

Good people, right on time, honest and good work. The connection to the electricity wasn't to my husband satisfactory and he plans to fix it for reasons of safety.
