I appreciate that they texted me within the hour and gave me a timeframe of 2 hours for the appt (so I didn't have to wait all day). They sent AJ to look at my air conditioner, he tested it and within 20 minutes he had it fixed! He reset it, replaced the batteries and fixed the connections. He let me know what he was doing each step of the way and had recommendations. I was so relieved that it only cost a service visit- I would definitely use them again and refer them to friends

AC Girl was assigned by my home warranty company to repair my air conditioning, which was barely working. They were supposed to call me within 24 hours to set an appointment. No call. I called them three times at two different numbers and left messages. My home warranty company (FNHW who I love, they are great) called them several times as well and got no response.
Finally got a call back a couple days later.
They had no record of my service request. The administrator person said maybe the home warranty company had called Laura directly. Well, whatever. That's not a real good excuse.
They were unable to schedule me within the time frame that my home warranty company had promised. At this point my home warranty company offered to set me up with a different company. I thought, maybe it's just a fluke, I'll go with AC Girl, let's just get this done.
Finally got an appointment set a couple days ago.
Their tech person did show up on time, no problem there. He assessed the system, said that the compressor fan was on backwards, and set about fixing it. Then he said the filter drier needed to be replaced. It is a part that has to be special ordered. He said maybe they could get the part same day, or at the very least next day. He promised to call when it came in and set an appointment. In the meantime, my AC is totally disconnected. So now my AC has gone from barely working to unusable.
Two days later, I am calling a few different numbers trying to get a response. Nothing. My AC is still disconnected and it's going to be 104 this weekend. This service call has gone on way, way longer then it should have, and I am disgusted that I can't even get a hold of a personor get a call back.
Two days after that, they finally called back, and they were promised to arrive Saturday 10 am to install the long-awaited part. It's 3 pm, and I haven't even gotten so much as an apology call. I can't reach them by phone. I'm sweating in over 100 degree heat and I have wasted my day off waiting for them to show up. So inconsiderate and uncommunicative. Awful.

- 1) I moved into the home on June 22 2013.
2) On June 26, I calledFidelity National Home Warranty (FNHW) because the air conditioning wasn't working and I had a general contractor tell me that my ducting in the attic was ripped and tears.
3) On June 26, The AC Girls called me, they were referred by FNHW, (it was Jennifer or Tiffany can't
remember, so I'll just call her Tiffany from this point on) to make an appointment for June 27 from 9 to 11 am with Laura.
4) At 11:02 am, I received a called from (Tiffany) AC girls and they couldn't make the appoint because Laura cut her thumb the night before so they needed to rescheduled the appointment and could do it before July 1. So it was reschedule for July
1 between 12 - 3. - 5) July 1 at 3:05 Laura showed up (she had her thumb in a splint). She told me she would not climb into the attic even though she was told prior to the appoint that I needed her to check the ducting. She said it was way too hot and had to make a morning appointment. She pumped freon into the unit, she showed me two key elements to what should happen (the copper pipe should be cold and the heat should be blowing from the condenser). We went inside the home and turned the air-conditioner on. It did blow cold air. She told me if this didn't work, she'd come right out and take another look. She made an appointment for the morning of July 09 to climb into the attic. She was gone by 3:30.
6) The temperature in the house dropped from 92 to about 85 degrees within two hours. However, by 6:00 it was back up to 90 degrees and the unit was blowing hot air again.
7) On July 1 at 6:00 pm. I called AC girls (Tiffany) to inform them that the unit was blowing hot air. They told me the earliest that they could come back out was July 9. I told them that Laura was just at my house and she said that she?d come back out if I had issues. They told me they were too busy, but they?d call Laura to see if something could be rescheduled to get me in tonight or tomorrow. I informed them that the temperatures where going to hit 108 degrees and my house would not be livable.
8) On July 1 at 7:00 pm. I received a call from Tiffany (AC Girls) and she said that they have already contacted FNHW for me and that they told FNHW that I would be unsatisfied with their service and to assign another company. I didn't know what to say this response caught me off guard, so i thanked them and then started the process all over again with FNHW.

Laura came out Friday evening to look at my heater (no heat). She found the problem easily and explained the issue in detail and what to do in the future. She is very professional and extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to meet her and I have already given friends and family her contact information.

I highly recommend A/C Girl to anyone that needs help with their air conditioning or heating needs. They are very reasonable, accommodating and pleasant to work with.
Our water heater rusted out and needed to be replaced. The A/C unit for our house runs parallel to the water heater and the pipes from the A/C unit blocked access our water heater. The water heater repair company requested that the A/C pipes be moved so they could replace it. A/C Girl came out, moved the pipes and the water heater was changed. I called A/C girl back and they promptly replaced the A/C pipes and gave our unit a tune up.
They were willing to work with our schedule to perform the needed work. We kept changing dates on them due to problems encountered with our water heater installation.

The work was diagnosed correctly and thermostat fixed for a very fair price. I will definitely use this service provider again.

On a hot Saturday we discovered our a/c wasn't blowing cold air. I worried about who to call that would be trustworthy. Any company I've ever called for any kind of service for anything has either told me something was wrong that wasn't &/or didn't fix the problem & overcharged me. Then I remembered I was a Angie's List member. I remembered hiring someone from Angie's List to fix my dryer & how they quickly diagnosed the problem, fixed it & charged a reasonable fee.Upon logging in to Angie's List I observed there were lots of a/c repair companies with excellent ratings. However, there was one listing that stood out & for obvious reason. It was "A/C Girl." Out of all the corporations, companies & even family owned businesses there was this one listing that was owned & run singularly by a young lady. I discovered all her reviews were rated 'A' & not only were there no complaints but all reviews were excellent. Although it was already afternoon I called her # not expecting to hear back much less get an appointment that same day. When she arrived she went straight to work & I mean straight. After locating the thermostat she switched it off & without hesitation climbed up the roof where the unit was. From the ground I couldn't tell exactly what she was doing but I could tell she was doing it rather quickly & efficiently. I was impressed!! She immediately diagnosed the problem to be a faulty capacitor. I couldn't believe that was all it was. Several times I asked her if she was sure & if it possibly could be something else, or even perhaps something I was doing wrong. She patiently reassured me that was the only problem. She handed us the bad part, went to her truck to get the replacement (which she showed us), climbed back up & replaced it. Only after she was confident the problem was completely fixed did she take payment. She was extremely professional & extremely knowledgeable! She was so very polite, courteous & respectful. Although I just met her I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. It's just that rare you encounter someone who is not only knowledgeable but so polite & HONEST! Paying for any household repair is never fun but I was truly happy to pay for this because I felt like I got exactly what I needed...& PEACE OF MIND. I feel like I just discovered a rare treasure. Not only am I thrilled with A/C Girl, I'm very grateful to Angie's List for providing such an important service! My husband & I are going to tell everyone we know that if you have any problem or concern with your heating &/or air there's only ONE person to call, that's A/C Girl. You CAN trust her! And Angie's List? It's not just another gimmick. It has saved me a lot of money, worry & paid for itself. Angie's List IS for real. Thank you so much!

Called Laura late Friday night and left a voicemail. She returned my called first thing next day and had the low refrigerant problem fixed by 9:30 AM. She's great. Call her.

I called Laura and she came to the house the same day. She went into the attic and
cleared the overflow line from there. She was prompt, friendly and efficient. I also called
her last summer when my air conditioner wouldn't turn on. She was again, prompt, efficient
and her rate was fair. I would use her again and feel very comfortable referring friends to
her for service!

Called and left message explaining the problem. Recieved call back within two hours and arranged for service later than afternoon. After conducting a couple of tests, she replaced contact switch and unit worked for several days before stopping again. After a return visit, she replaced a wire whose insulation had deteriorated and was making contact with metal, causing a short. Unit now works great

Our AC fan failed, turned out it was a bad capacitor. She was able to come over within 2 hours of the phone call. She diagnosed the issue in literally 10 seconds and finished the repair in less than 10 minutes. She seems very honest and made no attempt to sell me unnecessary maintenance, etc. Cost of the visit including the new capacitor was $125. I asked about credit card and she said she'd call me back later to get the information. I would use her again in a heartbeat. I prefer using independent contractors who are good at what they do - vs. calling a big company and hoping for the best.

The HVAC was not working during the home inspection on a house were were buying. The homeowner said it was repaired but it still did not seem to work right so I contacted AC Girl based on my realtors reference to inspect the HVAC system. She arrived on time and found some parts needed to be replaced on the A/C. The furnace was working and the two thermostats were working. She did not do any repairs the first time out at our request since we had not closed on the house. She also did not take a payment at that time even though we offered. She knew our realtor and figured we would pay when she was out to replace the A/C parts. After we closed and we were in the house a couple of days we noticed the dual zone control system was not working properly. All the air was going into the bedrooms even though there were two thermostats - one for the bedrooms and one for the common rooms. We reported the issue to her so when she came out the 2nd time after the holidays to put in the A/C parts she also troubleshot the heat issue and found the dampers were wired in wrong to the zone control board. After rewiring the board the thermostats now control the zones they are supposed to control and everything is working fine. She was at the house approximately 2hrs (1hr per trip) and only charged $125.00.
