Drill Sub was very good all the way. We had a contract with them. It is a very specialized project and in no way fit into the plumbing box, but they were very good. The owner was very good at explaining the services and working with us. They were very patient because I had to work with several of my neighbors in order to get it done. The owner of Drill Sub was very patient in helping resolve disputes and concerns among the neighbors. They performed the work very responsibly and in a timely way.

I had a gas line running under a public sidewalk in Glendale in front of a building I own. The gas meter is in a and quot;pitand quot; in the sidewalk and the gas line from the meter to the building needed replacement. Glendale has stringent contractor licensing requirements when cutting out / replacing concrete sidewalks (expensive) and the contractor cost to do it is expensive. Carlos' crew came out and used trenchless technology to bore a new hole underneath the sidewalk without having to cut the concrete. Cost was $995 vs approx. $4000 if concrete cutout/replacement was to be used. Very fast - job was done in just a few hours.
There were a couple of and quot;extrasand quot; in the final cost that I'm sure if I asked, they would have told me - but the crew didn't offer that information. So just ask before they start. The extra costs were minor - $25 for tracer wire and $100 for special connectors on the plastic gas line ends. I was perfectly OK with the charges, just warning everyone to just ask up front.
