Mr. King was thorough in his measurements and inspection of the entire property. I did have concerns when he didn't write down any of the improvements/dates that I provided him as we walked through the property. The other issue was he didn't know how to appraise the value of solar panels. I provided him with two methods identified in The Appraisal Journal and went through the calculations with him. I thought he understood how it worked but he failed to use either method in his appraisal -- he simply guessed at a number. At the request of the refinance company, I put together a list of comparables, identified the correct solar panel value, and my corrected appraisal is being reviewed. I would have liked to see Mr. King do this work instead of me!
