This was actually the second job John has done for us. I bumped into John while he was renovating a kitchen in a home where a painter took me to show me his painting work. We had just bought our home and I had to put in a kitchenette in an area of the home ahead of moving my mom in. So I chatted with him about this job and he agree to come take a look. He was able to do the kitchenette in time for my mom's move. Based on that work, I contracted with him to renovate our master bathroom.
The master bath job included demo of the existing floor/shower tile and removal of a large marble enclosed jacuzzi. John subbed out the tile and drywall work, but was always around doing his work and keeping track of the subs. With these older (1980) homes, especially ones that have been upgraded a couple times, there are always surprises lurking. John is very adept at handling these contingencies. He is very professional and his subs are equally so. My only and lt;minorand gt; concern was the job took a week or so longer than planned as he had other jobs running parallel (he seems to be very busy - a good sign). I was more interested in the quality of the work than the timeliness and on that he rates an A+.

We had a leaky second-floor master bathroom shower in our twelve year old home. We found our general contractor,
Heller Construction, through our tile contractor and set up an appointment to get an estimate. John arrived on time to discuss our options and provided an estimate for all non-tiling related aspects of the job. We were happy with the estimate and hired him. Once the demolition took place, there were holes and rot in our subflooring from the leak. John only charged us an additional $325
to remove and replace the effected subflooring.
John always called when he said he would, always arrived on time, and started/finished our job on time and within budget.
The quality of his work was absolutely spectacular, and he always had a great attitude. In the future, we will always use/recommend Heller Construction for all future projects. We will call him first instead of trying to piece meal our job.
If anyone is interested, here are our totals for the bathroom remodel*:
Heller Construction - $4,710
Tile materials - $928
Chad Deiter Construction (demo and tile work)- $3,800
Bathroom double sink vanity - $1,200
Plumbing fixtures, vanity lights and mirrors - $1,950
*We did not replace the toilet or tub.

His name is John Heller. He was fabulous. He was honest, and he gave us a lot of recommendations on changes that were beneficial to us. He was pleasant and on time. He never missed an appointment. He had good recommendations for other sub-contractors. He had subcontractors for the drywall. He had some guys that we used. We would absolutely use him again in the future.
