I bought the materials he told me to find and he installed it. He didn't put any bolts in, he just stuck nails in. He said I didn't need the bolts and that they were a waste of money. I have been trying to get them in for 3 or 4 years. Some personal matters came up and he told me he was no longer able to work on my project even though I paid him. First he had doubts, then he couldn't finish it. Then he was busy with other jobs and couldn't finish it. Now when you call him he doesn't always answer his phone. I find him too undependable and it really ticked me off. Now I am trying to get the people putting my siding on to put the bolts on now. It is pretty disappointing, it's not like I got a discount or anything. He had his son and an illegal man helping. His son was helping with the installation and I told him he was putting the railing on wrong but he called his dad and he told him he was doing it right. Now it is causing an issue for the people doing my siding. The price wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. He wanted to do my bathroom, but I definitely won't let him.
