Great honest service

Installation was fine but cost of $185.00 was excessive in my opinion.

The work was completed as planned.  Scott informed me beforehand that I needed to have an electrician install a safety cut-off switch (I.e. between the circuit breaker box and the water heater) to bring the unit up to city code.  I contacted an electrician that I have used in the past and he installed the switch the following week.  The city inspector informed me that my plumber and electrician had done a very good job on the installation.  Scott (CSC Plumbing) has been to my house in the past to advise me of various plumbing issues and options.  At no time did he charge me for those visits.  One of the reasons I use CSC Plumbing is because I value Scott's opinion and honesty.

The company was very responsive.  Got in and got the work done.  Haven't had to call them back for anything.

The service was excellent - the gentleman who assisted us was courteous and frienldy.  Knew what he was doing and very professional.

CSC Plumbing, Sewer & Drain Service were a little expensive but they did excellent work. Their punctuality and professionalism were excellent as well.

The problem was solved within 20 minutes. No mess, no fuss!

The cleanout was rusted shut and he cautioned that forcing it might destroy the threads on the cleanout, leading to a higher bill for its replacement.  The drain was faster but not fast enough to keep up with the washing machine.  He casually (no hard sell) recommended a video camera inspection since he thought this post-WWII drain setup had 2 different sizes of drain pipe meeting underground.  I decided to go with a pour-in root killer.

They came same day on time and did the job right

Spoke with Scott over weekend and we agreed he would call us on Monday to arrange time that day for landscape drainage cleaning. He came out the next morning and charged us for only an hour. He was very thorough and worked hard to clear all the debris that had built up over the years.  My wife, who is a Realtor, was very pleased and we will refer him other business. He was knowledgeable, professional, and very customer-oriented.  He did a very good job and it was an excellent experience having him do the work.

Entire proces went very smoothly.  not much to say, other than, I would use them again.  also referred my parents to them.

Scott Chapman, owner, arrived promptly each time he came to our home.  What appeared to be a "simple thing" on one project, turned out to be more work and time consuming causing Scott to be late for another appointment.  At all times, Scott maintained equanimity and professionalism.
In addition, the work that Scott performed for us took place over several weeks.  Rather than charge us for work performed on each visit, he presented a bill when all the work had been completed.  
The last time that Scott arrived to do another project for us, we had forgotten to call him and cancel the project which was no longer needed.  He arrived on time with items that were going to be replaced.  When I offered to pay him for the items he bought for us and pay him for his time and travel, he refused with a smile and good humor.  
We were impressed with Scott's knowledge and felt that in addition to performing a service for us, he educated us as well

Scott came round to look at our blocked sewer line. His first suggestion was to call the County as if the blockage was in their part of the pipe then we wouldn't have to pay to get it cleared. This was good to know as he could have easily not mentioned this and charged us anyway so I thought he was instantly somebody to be trusted. After the County confirmed the problem was in our line Scott ran his camera down the pipe, located the stoppage and then tried in vain to find the clean out to clear the problem. After a fruitless search he exposed the pipe and dealt with the problem. It took a while since our ground was infested with roots but he did it as quick as he could and the repair was done as needed. He was unable to locate the clean out through no fault of his own- it was just buried under a large root and took me hours to dig out and expose myself.
He then explained to us that we needed to locate the root ball that was causing the blockage since he could only do a temporary fix and that it would get worse. After I had found the clean out he returned and repaired the fitting that had been impacted by the roots at no extra charge and advised us how to finish the job ourselves.All in all he came three times and called each time to let us know when he was arriving. He was very friendly, helpful with advice and explained everything clearly and gave us all the options that were available to us rather than just charging us for doing all the work. I will definitely look to call him again with any future plumbing needs and highly recommend his service to other members.

A pest inspection revealed a leak under the house. They thought it was incoming water and would require a plumber.

I called CSC Plumbing from Angie's List. Scott arrived on time. He suited up to go under the house and discovered it was the waste water from darkroom, laundry and kitchen.

Before he could do the job the toxic ground had to be excavated, treated and replaced with new soil. Scott arranged a recovery company to come do that work right away.

Scott came back two days later and replaced two connecting fittings and about six feet of drainage pipe. It seemed to me a tough job, cutting through the 56 year old caste iron pipe ( I think six cuts), under the house, on his back with all those spiders and stuff.

After the work was done under the house he tested everything above running water then checking underneath again. All was good. I mentioned the bathtub was slow draining so he 'snaked' that. 

Scott was professional, thorough  and kept me informed of what he was doing. He also told me commercial drain cleaners are not good for the pipes (witch I really did know), so I took my new stock of Liquid Plumber back to Costco.

Scott came and gave me a bid on replacing the fixtures in the bathtub.  He ordered parts because the type I'd purchased would require taking the wall apart to replace the valve to the shower handle.  Came back and installed the shower head, replaced the tub overflow plate and the drain plug.  Couldn't  replace the shower handle because the tile was cut to match the existing backplate and the new one didn't cover the hole and  I don't want to get into tile work just yet.  He was prompt, professional  and very courteous.  He did the work quickly and efficiently and cleaned the area after himself.  I would definitely use his services again.

My experience with CSC and Scott was excellent.  I really appreciated Scott's honesty and knowling my options.  When I asked him how much I owed him for his time and effort (or in my case ... consultation), he said nothing.  With that, he sold me on his services.  I have his business card and will definitely contact him for any future plumbing needs.

The work went very good. They had to subcontract for the leak detector, but he didn?t find the leak correctly. They had the guy come back and find the leak again. They didn?t charge for his return trip or all the time that was wasted before because of the leak detector. They only charged me for an hour or so. I would recommend him, but he is often tied up because he does a lot of commercial work.

Scott was a hard worker, thorough and conversant about what he was doing and where the problems were. He arrived 30 minutes before he said he would. He went right to work and spent two plus hours clearing the drainage system.

Great job, reasonable price and work completed quickly.
