"While it is true that there are predatory contractors out there, it is also true there are clients that seek to take advantage of contractors with the idea of getting work done and never paying for it.Again and again. We had been warned on this client and should have listened. About the only issue that is true was that the front of his garage was out of level. We offered a variety of fixes. He refused all of them and unstead wanted a cash payout beyond even the contract price. That was when I knew we needed the help of the contractors board who deemed that almost all of what he was saying was nothing more then an attempt to create a lottery win. Ithe cracking was due to the client applying lumber loads when the concrete was green. Concrete needs to cure for a full 28 days before loading . He was framing on it within days.this is also the same character trying to install an illegal bathroom in his garage. He tried to not pay the concrete company the day of the pour . These are just a few examples of his character. We have been in business for close to thirty years with not one bond payout, consumer complaint or otherwise. We can provide referrals and show work at any time."
