I've had PCE doing my horse vet work for about 2 years now. Everyone there, even the girls that work in the front office are amazing. I was VERY unhappy with the choice of equine vets in our area, so when my mare got sick, I decided to look in the phone book for a vet to go see. I found PCE and have been SO happy with them since the very first day. My horse had been on someone else's pasture in the mountains, and I hadn't seen her in months. When I picked her up, she had lost about 500 lbs and had white foam oozing out her nose. I've had that mare since I was 13 years old, and so I was very upset at the prospect of losing her. I took her straight from that pasture to the new vet's office, and things just got better from there. My vet, Helen, was absolutely honest about the prognosis, which was very scary, but actually comforting. The mare spent 4 days in the ICU in isolation there, and the girls in the office were staying late after work just to go in and love on her for a while. They even had to wash and glove up before they went in to see her, but they did it anyway. Every single experience I've had with them has been great. I try to have them come out on Thursdays, which is the farm-call day for my area, but my emergencies tend to fall on Fridays, of course. They have come out on a holiday and on a weekend, and are always genuinely concerned about the welfare of my horses and my peace of mind. I'm SO greatful to have found these vets, finally!
