The job was originally quoted by David Paul late in 2012 after another painter failed to show. Unfortunately, the weather deteriorated and it was impossible to complete the job last year. We contacted them again in March 2013 and requested they requote. Price growth was very modest, reflecting a small increase in the cost of materials. Once the weather improved, the job was scheduled for June. They used a non-toxic stripper and none of the plantings around the deck suffered. They were able to complete the job to the agreed schedule. There was no incidental damage to house siding or trim. The decks looked absolutely beautiful when complete; they actually looked better than they did when the house was new in 2010. It was a pleasure working with David Allen Construction.

It went exceedingly well from start to finish. The job was performed in a timely manner. I don't remember exact dates but my old deck was removed and a new one built in under two weeks. It's a very large deck.

I went to a hardware store for a recommendation. They recommended him. He can do anything. He is so positive. He was fairly priced. I had several estimates. One guy estimated the job at $20,000, which was ridiculous. He did the job for $7,000. He is very professional. He is actually a home-builder, but I think the home-building market is slow right now. He has replaced skylights in my house. He does roofing, too.
