I called them on a Monday morning to see about getting a quote for the work. Although I called during their business hours I got an answering machine, so I left a message telling them that I was looking to get a quote for some work. By Tuesday afternoon I had not heard back so I called again. This time the receptionist, D***, answered and apologized for not getting back to me, saying that she was swamped because another office worker was out on Monday (but how long does it take to make a simple phone call?) Anyway, I told her that I wanted to find out if they would be interested in re-grouting my kitchen. She said that yes, they do that type of work. We figured out the size of the job and she quoted me $200 (which was exactly what another tile company had said). I told her that since her company had done the job originally and I was satisfied with it, that I would like to go ahead and schedule the work. She said that she would check the calendar and call me back by the next afternoon (Wednesday). Since I had jury duty that day I did not bother to call them, but I did check my caller i.d. to see if she had called back as promised - and she had not. Thursday morning I called and the phone was answered by another office worker. She said that D*** was out of the office at the moment, but would call me back shortly. I waited until 3:00 but again, she never returned by call. So I called again at 3:00 and she answered, again apologizing for not getting back to me. I asked if she thought that they would be able to work me into the schedule within the next couple of weeks. She said she was pretty sure that they could based on the calendar that she had, but needed to contact a couple of the workers to confirm with them that they would have the time to do my job, possibly the next day, and would call me back in just a few minutes. But Guess What? SHE NEVER CALLED BACK. That was it for me - I went on to find another gentleman who was recommended by Eel Valley Tile and Stone who was able to do the work within a couple of days and only charged me $75 (and did a Great job). I only hope that Mr. Carbboneau knows that his company is losing work because of his inept receptionist. This experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I would call every tile company in the area before I would consider using Carbbonneau Tile again.
Description of Work: I contacted them for a quote to re-grout my kitchen counter tops (they did the original work) and probably would have hired them if I had been able to.
