The quality of their stone is incredible, I would recommend them to anyone !

I first spoke to Steve, the owner, in early August and arranged for my countertop to be fabricated and installed by September 15th, as I was moving into the home on September 17th. Leading up to the 15th of Sep Steve's communication was spotty at best. He would respond initially but when I tried to confirm our install date he would stop responding. The 15th came and went and I was given several other install dates that also came and went with very little clear communication from Steve. He did explain that his saws were working at 1/2 capacity, which I understood. But his communication never seemed direct and honest as to when my project might be completed. Eventually, another person was brought into the transaction and my project seemed to be handed off to another business without any conversation or clarification. The other businessman was equally flakey with regard to communication and commitment to time. My countertop was finally installed on November 5th, nearly 7 weeks after my original install date. Remember I moved into the house on September 17th, so I was also without a working kitchen sink or dishwasher, as this was my island countertop where my plumbing is. With regard to the quality of work, it looks like any other countertop, so I guess they were sufficient. However, the faucet hole was cut and the plywood base was not cut far enough back to properly install the faucet. I promptly contacted whomever the other businessman was and never received a response about them coming to fix it. He did eventually reach out for payment but never addressed the incomplete work. I had to have my plumber cut the plywood to allow the faucet to be installed. Long story long, Steve's prices were most competitive, his craftsmanship was sufficient, however, his lack of clear and honest communication will prevent me from ever using his services or recommending him to anyone in the future.

We so enjoyed working with Black Marble and Granite. Steve, the owner, and his son Will were top notch - easy going, professional and wonderful to work with. They did such a fantastic job installing our granite counter tops in our kitchen and two bathrooms. Steve also designed and installed a fireplace surround and hearth from the same granite slab - which pulls together the kitchen and the family room. The back splash turned out perfectly - they are so detailed in their measurements and cuts that there was barely any wasted tile. Beautiful workmanship!

We are so happy that we found Black Stone & Marble! After starting on a bumpy road with our first prospective contractor, Steve was a breath of fresh air and completed the work with efficiency, care, and quality. One of the things we value most when looking for services is communication and Steve was amazing in helping us understand the process, giving us options and advice, and ensuring that the job was completed perfectly. Steve and his son, William, took the time to do the work right, not just fast. We would happily work with them again and refer them to anyone looking for countertop installation!
