About us

When Jason began his career in the garage door industry, he quickly learned that going solo would allow him to better serve his customers. As previous customers and new referrals started calling him with service requests, he knew the time was right - and West Coast Garage Door was born. West Coast is now a family-run business where all members play a part. Jason is the owner and lead tech, his wife (Susan) creates all the artwork and marketing material, his son (Jared) helps with garage door repairs and installations, and the mascots (Zoey, Miss Bear and Mica) make sure their respective human stays on-task.

All went smoothly. The torsion spring on our garage door broke and Jason was able to come by and repaired the damage. He also did some maintenance on the tracks. I also appreciate his explaining how to be sure everything worked well. Definitely recommend.

I actually put in a request on Home Advisor and received several calls back shortly thereafter.  Jason, the owner, was the first to call and said he was close by and could come over shortly to check out the door.  The door would not open or close but the motor for the garage door opener did run.  Jason arrived, discovered the problem was the gear in the motor and put in a new gear.  The rollers were old and were replaced.  The door had a large vertical crease in it running almost the entire height of the door.  Jason recommended a stabilizer bar at the bottom to provide more stability and try to keep the crease from reaching the window.  He did not press me for additional work but did point out the sensors were old and sensitive.  I opted not to replace the sensors at that time. The door had not been serviced in a long time. I really can't rate the cost as I did not get other estimates, which I ordinarily would do.  I decided to go ahead and have Jason do the work since he was able to do the work when he came out for the estimate and I wanted to get the door fixed. Also, I decided to proceed  because this is a small family owned business that is fairly new. Jason checked in with me later to see how the door was working.  I had some issues with the door again about a week later and contacted Jason. He explained it was likely the old sensors out of alignment.  I was able to adjust the sensors and the door has worked well since. He checked back with me a couple of times to make sure the door was working properly.  Jason seems very conscientious.

My family and I were out shopping and to lunch. We returned home and the garage door would only open a few inches then close again. After going inside we discovered the one of the springs was broken. We looked on the list found him and even though there weren't many reviews decided to call Jason's company. When I spoke with him, he was very warm and friendly. He said he would be out within the hour. He was here much sooner. He was very friendly and explained the work that had to be done and gave us a price up front. He explained the life expectancy of the springs we had on the door. This was very different from the last repairman we had replace a broken spring. Jason also used very high quality parts unlike the previous repairman. We had the same issue roughly three years ago. He also explained and showed me have to lubricant to door and at what intervals, also what type with name to use. Jason completed the work ahead of when he said he would be done, cleaned up and took away the broken parts. I and my family highly recommend this company to to and for anyone who has a door issue or who wants to replace their doors. We are very happy and please with the service we reviewed! Thank you again Jason and West Ciast Garage Door!
