Everything about the job went VERY well. Our countertops look beautiful and Adam of Unlimited Tile and Stone (UTS) made sure that quality was a top priority.
I am doing my own kitchen remodel and have installed my cabinets and made all decisions on the countertops prior to working with Adam. When I called Adam, he was very good on the phone and asked good probing questions before quoting the job. In most cases he would have come out and measured. I was able to send my own design plans via email so he quoted via email.
My wife and I went to a granite warehouse and purchased our slab (included in the $3100 job total.) Adam's crew came out, measured and templated the job. Adam came out that same day and discussed all of my concerns and made good suggestions. The next day I received a call letting me know that they had the granite slab in their warehouse but it didn't meet their quality requirements. Adam indicated that once they put it under proper lighting they found all sorts of pits and other blemishes. I was VERY happy to hear they scrutinized it so thoroughly. UTS returned the slab and looked over two other slabs before deciding on a good one.
Eight days later, Adam's crew arrived with our huge island counter (4 1/2' x 7'). They prepared the surface and planned carefully how to bring it in and install it. The three men handled it with a tiny bit of help from me and it fit perfectly on the subtop and corbels that I had installed. (They offer the subtop service but I didn't need it.) UTS had precut the sink cutout and they installed the undermount sink.
The second counter was a standard 24and quot; x 6' counter and went well. This counter needed a cutout for the 36and quot; cooktop. After 30 minutes of meticulous measuring and discussion with me, they removed the counter and cut it in the front yard. Once cut they installed the counter, backsplash and cooktop. They finished by applying a sealer and left the kitchen looking AMAZING!!! We are so happy!
