Cleaned and did minor repairs to two chimneys.

In the conversion process from burning wood and composite logs to gas in our fireplace, we contacted The Village Chimney Sweep to clean our chimney. We relied on the recommendations of Fireplaces Plus and Angie's List prior to scheduling an appointment. We scheduled an appointment the day we called and called again the day before the cleaning, to check for any special preparations.
Mr. Richards and his son arrived promptly Jan. 9th and worked quickly and efficiently to complete the job in less than an hour. They took pains to cover the work area to prevent any soot or other dirt from coming back into the room. Mr. Richards also reviewed the gas connections and offered suggestions to mention to those who will complete the conversion.
We were very well satisfied with their work, their professionalism and courtesy and we feel comfortable recommending them to others. We did not compare prices with other firms since we relied on two sources for recommendations.

Don and his son were both personable, professional and efficient. They covered the fireplace to minimize any soot and dust escaping into the room. We were impressed by how quickly the job was completed, considering that our fireplace had not been cleaned for many years. Don also made recommendations re the damper block and the outside gas lines and suggested a gas company review of our gas appliances. We don't know how the price compares with others; we chose this company by favorable references.

They were on time, and cleaned up after themselves. I liked that they thoroughly explained what the problem was. They were friendly, professional, and provided a good price.

I have been using him for years. He is very trustful, on time and he does a great job.

WONDERFUL experience. I had already had 2 other chimney sweeps out and they could do nothing to help me find the problem. All they knew was that they couldn't get the duct hosing from the dryer end to the exit. Village came out and helped locate the problem and solved it using their camera and other equipment. They were professional, timely and reasonable in their prices. It was hard to find them because I don't think they advertise, but they were SUPER!

The Chimney Sweep, Don, showed up on time, was very polite, did the job in very little time and cleaned up everything. Excellent service.
