 + -1 moreMy out-of-town elderly Dad had the above problem on his computer which rendered the computer useless for his needs. I scheduled a home visit with SanDiego-Tech the next day. Casey, the tech, fixed the problem as described above, notably taking care of everything that needed to be done to get the computer up and operating again. Casey was very knowledge-able about the software issues that had occurred and was very pleasant. From what I could tell the charge was equivalent to other companies that provide home computer repair services, and we definitely felt like we got our moneys worth.
Description of Work: The computer is an HP Pavilion running Windows 7. Apparently, an Windows AutoUpdate had failed and caused several computer programs installed on the computer to stop working and report obscure error messages when they were started. Casey, the tech, carried the computer to a different place in the building that had a decent internet connection, ran some diagnostics to locate the missing/incorrect files, and installed the correct files for my Dad's setup. At the same time he uninstalled some garbage programs that came installed when the computer was new. When all was said and done, the problem was fixed, AND the computer was faster and more stable.
